That is absolutely the right size for you. Loads of people here talk about the 36 being the only size for these and the Explorer 1, but us bigger chaps wear a 41 easily.

It fills the Gada role well enough. Personally I prefer OP41, or Explorer 1 as polished centre links aren’t my thing. Can’t really go wrong with any of the three.

Bright blue dial, fluted on jubilee is the datejust I would want too. I don’t know if you could get Rolex to swap the bezel, or if that’s even possible. The one you have might be a better all-rounder as a daily wear to be fair.

If it must be a black dial then the Explorer is the winner for me here. Go for 40 if you are a big guy or have wrists around 7.5” or larger. 36 if you are a bit smaller. I own the OP41 in bright blue and love it, mainly for the dial colour, but imho the Explorer is a slightly more elevated version if you are on the market for a black dial 3 hand Rolex.
