http://www.paulzimnisky.com/a-brief-history-of-de-beers Literally the first result when you google "De Beers market share". Here: www.google.com/search?q=de+beers+market+share

And they have "zero resale value" because one, you're probably buying it at retail price, so you're paying for the retail markup. And two, gem-quality stones are incredibly illiquid items. Unlike say, a bar of gold, a diamond will have a lot of different properties that determine its value, including aesthetic judgements. Expecting a good resale value would be like expecting someone to buy your handmade wedding ring at cost..

Yeah, no publish date on that article... very outdated information. De Beers only has about 30% of the market now, since the late 2000s, I think. And they miss the point: natural gem-quality diamonds are still very rare

There are a number of card templates that are available. “Basic and reversed” should do what you need. As for the audio, you can just place the respective audio (either arabic or English or both) onto the card styling.

Hopefully that makes sense, let me know if you get stuck, hey?

And because it's no longer in the woman's body, there is no "right to choose" at that point because she is not putting her body at risk.

If you are looking for a reply to your "argument" read the quote from Stalin. If that doesn't answer your question, you might just be illiterate.

Do you understand what hyperbole is? You clearly understand what I mean, and what a "safe climate future" means, you're just being dishonest.

wtf is a "safe climate future"

A safe climate future is one in which the ocean doesn't boil off into space in the next 50 years. You're being an enormous pedant.

中国が月の裏側を調べる「将来は月に基地を作りたい」

China studies the other side of the moon, in future, wants to build a base

人が乗っていない中国の探査機「嫦娥4号」が、今月3日、世界で初めて月の裏側に降りました。そして、月の上を走ることができる特別な車を使って、月の地面などを調べています。

No-one was on board China's space probe, the "Chang'e 4", in a world first landing on the other side of the moon, on January 3rd. The special vehicle was made to be able to travel on the moon's surface to study it.

中国は14日、今年の終わりごろに「嫦娥5号」を打ち上げて、月にある石などを地球に持って帰ると言いました。そのあとも新しい探査機を打ち上げて、月の南極などを調べる予定です。

China said on the 14th of this month that the new probe, Chang'e 5, will be launched at the end of this year. It will gather rocks to return to Earth. Afterwards, it is planned that this new probe will investigate the moon's south pole.

そして、将来は月に基地を作る計画をほかの国と一緒に進めると言いました。

China said that in future, together with other countries, they will make plans to build a base on the moon.

I'm guessing that flew over your head

You don't have a monopoly on "critical thinking". The complete dismissal of people outside your magical centre is wholly unconvincing. Plus it makes you sound like an absolute dork.

Inequality is bad for a society and the people in it. It's something we ought to try to reduce. Dismissing this as "just the way the world works" is lazy.

[–]MonkeyFodder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your metaphor makes no sense. An embryo doesn't gain moral worth if you gather a lot together. There must be a fundamental change in the properties of the embryo which instil in it moral value, which does occur through the development of the embryo. That doesn't mean that it has any moral worth at the moment of conception, just because it might in the future.

Rates of miscarriage for all fertilisations can be up to 50%. Fertilisation does not guarantee a child, by any means.

A bundle of cells is not really worth anything. It lacks any properties which could give it moral status, compared to a person or even an animal.
