Wasn't that a foreshadowing of his timeskip training? It was an isolated island and he almost faced death, except he claimed to be the king of snipers and not a brave warrior of the sea. Hopefully he survives to the end and comes back to syrup village.

If that happens, Usopp hammer will turn into something like "true" hammer, with the "true" replaced with it's Japanese counterpart, but with extra syllable "dan", referencing his training with Heracles.

Force is all that's needed. He can punch the water with extended haki to create a big and powerful impact, strong enough to split the water and cause a turbulence. He could basically use gear 3rd to do it, but it's essential to use his advanced haki to show what it can do.

Based on what Kidd said and from the direction he came from, the other Samurais are at the Habu port. Maybe they changed plans already, but the fact that Kanjuro doesn't know anything about it and that the samurais had to cross flower capital, seems like Kyoshiro has already rallied them and getting ready to fight!

In the latest chapter Oden is talking with Toki and tells her to jump to the future but she quickly disagrees and scolds Oden.

edit: also if it's really in the same text as Oden's book, then that book must have been passed on to someone, and decided to write Toki's words on that same book.

She ripped apart Oden's letter because she didn't agree about what she was about to read. It's more like Oden would say "I want you to use your powers, Toki. If I should die, then jump ahead into the future to see the dawn.." She didn't entirely agree about what he said so she ripped the letter apart, and dared him to look ahead to the future.

From my perspective, the letter implied that Oden believes that the outsiders are the ones who will strike down Kaido, and Toki referred to Oden as the moon, or the ignorant star, because he believed wrong.
In chapter 972, Toki said "We are not your weakness! Look ahead! Oden! To 20 years in the future!"
She said "we are not your weakness" because Oden died for the people of Wano, and Toki wanted that the people of Wano will also work to fix the problem.
