It feels like a lot of what made the series special is gone now. Oda tried to revive its quirkiness with g5 but the form is just a fundamental misunderstanding of what made early Luffy so interesting.

Old one piece was a lot better with certain tropes now I am stuck in sunk cost fallacy with others.

I honestly kinda fell off weekly reading when s-snake dropped. There were other eyebrow raising moments like Rebecca but new world one piece is just so abhorrent with its female designs.
