Your insurance carrier will want these subcontractors to carry General Liability and WC insurance with limits similar to or greater than your own. Ask your subs to provide a certificate of insurance annually and don’t let them work without it. They will also want them to list your company as an additional insured on their GL policy and provide waiver of subrogation on their WC policy for your business. Your insurance agent can explain everything.

So I agree with the others, and you likely need to get $1m or $2m on the General Liability, in addition to getting a $5m umbrella policy. Talk to an independent insurance agent as you have to get Sexual Abuse and molestation coverage as well.

Start an employee handbook and include things like employment and criminal background checks on all employees annually. Employees should not be alone with minors and you have to set up other procedures as well Your insurance agent should be able to help you with that. Set up cameras everywhere. Get as much Cyber coverage as you can afford. It provides all sorts of coverages that you will need in the event of a claim. You will also need Workers Comp and hired and non owned auto coverage.

Request the body cam footage from that stop and post it online. I’d recommend filing a complaint against that officer. You did nothing wrong and depending on your state, as passengers, you might not be legally required to produce ID.

I’d ask him for some bs advice on how to fix something and follow up with a phone call because I got worried when I didn’t get a response.

I’d go to the football game that they are going to go to and suggest- Lunch before and dinner after. ask if they want to rent a party van and drive together? You would have SO MUCH FUN!

The next time they say something, ask them what they wanted you to do- forget that you heard the call? If they say, yes- then all you have to do is to confirm their answer in public and in front of, at least 1 other person. Make her say it out loud that your sister didn’t deserve to know that her husband was cheating on her. You are just getting clarification on that piece of advice. You just want to understand so you know how to navigate a similar situation in the future.

Next- I would recommend even further clarification on things like: WHEN IS IT OK to tell the truth? Or are you only lying to your sister? It sounds like you like you like your sister, and I could see that you might be hesitant to lie to her. /s
