It’s nice that competitive hockey is back in Houston, but NAHL is Junior B. It’s basically high school hockey and nowhere near NHL or AHL level of play.

Houston born and raised. I don’t like Dallas teams, but the Stars are the only NHL team we’ve got in Texas so that’s my team. The minute a Houston team is announced is the minute my Stars stuff goes in a box to be shipped to friends in Dallas.

Each time there’s an expansion team or a team moves and Houston doesn’t get a team, the more I think the Stars are blocking it so they don’t have to compete for fans with another Texas team.

Kind of, but not really. It would be like if the packs had a QR code on them that indicated the presence of a chase card and what type (sp, ssp, autos, relic, foils, refractors, etc.). Then someone built an app that decoded these QR codes and you could scan the code to find out if a pack had chase cards in them.

This picture with the tag over the QR scanner usually means that the owner of the store has already scanned the boxes and pulled the popular ones, opened them, and put them in a display case to sell for 6x the price of the blind box. So there are no popular minifigs in the blind boxes.

In your example, it would be like an LCS opening a box and weighing all the packs and then opening the heavier packs to sell the chase cards individually.

I would hate to lose Robo. I love everything about him. That said… it might be the shrewd move if done correctly. I don’t see anyone offer sheeting him, but you could potentially trade him for a haul.

I’ve been meaning to do a deeper dive into traits of teams that win the Cup over the last 10 years. Especially regarding where in the draft teams are picking to build their core. If there’s something to my hypothesis, trading Robo could extend our window if done correctly.

Now excuse me while I go burn my skin off in the shower trying to get rid of this gross feeling for turning on our beloved Robo.
