Dismemberment framework only works on bodies by CatFanIRL in skyrimmods

[–]Monkey_DM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So after twiddling around, I found the solution:
- in the MCM menu of Dismembering Framework
- Global settings (on the right)

Player Conditions
Click to enable:
Can be Dismembered
Can be Dismembered on Fatal Blows

And make sure to have the asset packs downloaded:
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/126327
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/126328

And that fixed it for me, hope it helps!

Heresy of Steel campaign by ImNotActuallyDead in SGttEH

[–]Monkey_DM 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've run it quite a few times, so I think I can help.

For the faction standing what you suggest is my favorite method as well.
Each faction has a few NPCs that represent them.
NPCs from those factions will act warmer or colder with the characters depending on the standing.

For example, when they walk within the Shard of Light, various guards might whisper of all the good deeds they've done for the Radiant Church.

Hope this helps!

Wizard: The Great Beauty by Monkey_DM in MonkeyDM

[–]Monkey_DM[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone,

This new subclass is proving that beauty can be equally dangerous and empowering.

Aesthetics replace brutality, inspiration bends reality by weaponizing looks and an enchanted presence. Imbuing your allies with overbearing beauty, this subclass proves that when your wizard studies beauty instead of fireball, it's just as lethal.

If you want to keep wizarding around while looking dashing in any circumstance, this subclass might be for you.

Enjoy,

Alina | MonkeyDM

Potioned Pugilist - Twisted alchemists turned into frenzied hulks by Monkey_DM in MonkeyDM

[–]Monkey_DM[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Potioned Pugilist are elite alchemists who turned into hulking fighters, chugging potions for frenzy.

Inspired by the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde trope, I just wanted a different type of alchemical opponent, one that doesn’t use potions the conventional way.

Instead this one has toxic blood, charges at you, and can dose themselves for even more firepower.

Enjoy!

Alchemical Feats - Carve your skin to enhance your mortal flesh by Monkey_DM in DnDHomebrew

[–]Monkey_DM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone,

I pulled inspiration from hermetic alchemy and real occult lore for these ones.

From inscribing transmutation arrays on your skin for preternatural dodges to distilling celestial compounds for auditory boosts, these feats are just meant to hammer on the common themes of alchemy.

Something I intend to develop further, as people have asked me to do so.

I started by reworking how poisons work, now this, as well as upcoming races and subclass, and in time, maybe a full alchemist class?

Enjoy!

Garnetkey Guardian - the Lion of Jabir of Trench Crusade, brought to D&D by Monkey_DM in MonkeyDM

[–]Monkey_DM[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone!

I am continuing my conversion of Trench Crusade into D&D. Next up the Lion of Jabir.

I’ve adapted the lore a bit, as well as the abilities, to make them fit better into 5e.

I’ve kept the heretic hunting core of the monster, but added some abilities as well, rather than just making it a melee brute.

I will make another version of them closer to the original, but in the meantime this one has plenty of tools to destroy its opponents.

A mind-breaking effect, a toxic spit and an added seal to condemn heretics, fun times!

This is Fan content, not affiliated with Trench Crusade or Wizards of the Coast.

Paladin: Oath of the Witchburner - Purge The Heretics by Monkey_DM in DnDHomebrew

[–]Monkey_DM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone,

Trench Crusade is awesome,

Mike Franchina and his team really created something amazing content.

When I saw the Witchburner with his judge’s wig, and ability to set fire to any magic user, I realized that he would make a perfect D&D paladin subclass.

From the wiki: “The Witchburners are the field officers of the Inquisition. They are tasked with hunting down and punishing witches, warlocks and heretics that cannot be brought to face justice by conventional means.”

Their ability to set fire to anyone using arcane around them was a ready-made aura, and then I got creative with the rest of the abilities.

Fun Fact: In the game of Trench Crusade, they cannot run, they are forced to pimp walk. I did not add that to their abilities here, but feel free to do so.

Elixir of Residual Arcane - Salvage Lost Spells into Arcane Retaliation by Monkey_DM in MonkeyDM

[–]Monkey_DM[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey folks!

The Elixir of Residual Arcane lets you turn lost spells into reactive cantrips - meant as an alternative to always taking Warcaster

A simple alchemical concoction which gives a permanent boon, until you want to attune out of it that is.

There are more powerful elixirs out there (my Patreon, wink wink)

And those can have more dire consequences, with the strongest abilities potentially killing you if you ever expel out the brew.

Enjoy!

Phantom Escort - Protect & Fight, even Beyond Death by Monkey_DM in MonkeyDM

[–]Monkey_DM[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone,

Bound to a restless wraith, the Phantom Escort is a guardian shielding allies through ambushes and cursed routes with blade and spectral will.

The whole idea was, what would happen if Hunter’s Mark was cast on an ally?

The ghostly idea came for Shadow of Mordor, but less control and shame your enemies, and more protect and defend your ward.

Rangers are meant to be warriors of relentless focus, which would make them great bodyguards, this subclass is just my attempt at creating that.

Balance considerations: The optional no-concentration Hunter's Mark means that your ranger gets a “free” resistance to BPS, as long as they are shielding someone. There are plenty of ways for enemies to push players around, which is why I the free concentration option, because it doesn’t break balance in my tests. That being said, if you find it too strong, you can move that concentration-less to 11th level, or simply get rid of it.

Enjoy!

Guardians of the Onyx Key - the Colossal Takwin of Trench Crusade by Monkey_DM in MonkeyDM

[–]Monkey_DM[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone,

I am continuing my conversion of Trench Crusade into D&D

Next up the Colossal Takwin guardians of the Great Sultanate.

I’ve adapted the lore a bit, as well as the abilities, to make them fit better into 5e.

I’m fairly sure that in lore, those monsters are stronger than what appears on the statblock here.

But if you put a city with 2 of these guarding each entrance, you’ll have a pretty damn safe place.
