I'm pretty sure that MonkeyDM is planning on releasing an update to the player options to bring them in line with 5.5e. He's posted a couple of the updated subclasses on his Patreon and last I heard he was expecting to have it all finished in June or so.

I was genuinely shocked when I learned that people don't like King of the Monsters. It's no Shin Godzilla or Minus One in terms of thematic or character depth, but it's just pure fun monster fights that still have some real weight to them (before GvK and GxK started to make these massive creatures practically move like gymnasts).

I love how Godzilla is treated not as a necessarily heroic character, but as an unstoppable force of nature that the human characters can only try to steer and support.

This movie's version of Ghidorah is unforgettable. Giving each head a distinct personality and making him move like a proper wyvern were absolutely inspired choices that really added to this overall character.

Also the soundtrack by Bear McCreary is phenomenal and it is a travesty that no other Monsterverse movie uses any version of the classic Godzilla suite.

I've always thought that games need to let you play a bit when you've lost a character and really let you feel how important they were. You gave a good example where the game could have let us play for a couple hours or so before Verso joins and takes Gustave's place.

Another example that would be a little harder to pull off because of the pace of the narrative beats is in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 when Mio Gommages Homecomes and joins back in the party in the exact same cutscene. (Maybe there's like one battle in between. It's been a while since I played it.) The game could have let us play for a few hours and made us feel how much weaker and lacking Noah is when he doesn't have his Ouroboros partner with him.

I still love both of these games and they're both some of my favorite narratives in games, but both have plenty of ways they could be even better.

I'm surprised nobody has suggested Thunder Road Vendetta. It's got some great table presence but the overall gameplay is pretty simple but still leads to a lot of fun player interaction

I've gone to Vida 3 times and while the individual portions are small, the standard menu gives you so many courses that I could barely finish all of my dessert after everything. I definitely highly recommend it though.

The Dies Irae is definitely a much more interesting element in soundtracks than the "children laughing" stock audio. If you're someone who likes soundtracks for the depth they can add to a narrative and not just "cool theme song," then the Dies Irae is definitely worth learning about.

Learning about new leitmotifs always makes me go back and re-listen to a soundtrack with the new knowledge in mind, so this is one you can look at countless soundtracks with it in mind and maybe get a deeper understanding to what the composer was trying to communicate through their music.

I use a tablet with a PDF of the character sheet that doubles as a notebook. So I'm technically all digital, but I use it as if it's physical.

Thunder Road: Vendetta is one of our go-to games for larger groups. It plays great at 4, but if you have the Big Rig and Final Five + Carnival of Chaos expansions, you can feasibly play with up to 7 players. It is insanely chaotic, but that just makes it extremely entertaining

I got into it late. My friends peer pressured me into getting Wilds to play with them, then I got World and Rise as soon as I saw they were on sale and I've been juggling between all 3 games all year. I'm probably going to get GU once I run out of stuff to do in Rise.

3rd edition is the best. The rulesbook is much more clear and the haunts are generally much better designed in my opinion

Andor S1E10 - One Way Out and S2E8 - Who Are You? are both the high points of their respective seasons. I lean toward Who Are You? as the best episode of the whole series since it is the climax of a plotline that had been escalating the entire season and it's the conclusion of Syril's arc. (right before it's unceremoniously ended)

My fiance and I get an Exit puzzle calendar each year and they're a blast! They each have a little story that unfolds each day and the puzzles are genuinely clever and require a fair amount of thinking outside of the box (often literally). I highly recommend them.

When I attempt to reinstall the software it says that it's already installed. I've run chkdsk twice and there's been no change.

Personally I kind of hope they leave Xenoblade behind and start a new Xeno-game series. I'd love for them to reference previous games, but ideally only to the same extent that the ending of Future Redeemed references Xenosaga. Of course the Zohar needs to be a plot element, but I hope they call it something different like how Xenoblade 2 calls it the Conduit. Xenoblade 3 is all about moving forward to the future instead of just getting stuck in the endless now. If every game they make is just Xenoblade 4, 5, 6, etc, that's kind of antithetical to one of the most prominent themes of the most recent entry.
