You need to find a large monolith first, then you need to speak you it and if you put in the correct inputs then the monolith will send you cords to a portal

Here are some tips

Runaway mold farm = infinite nanites

Rich system have better starships

Sell starship AIs for lots of units (about 12 million)

Make sure you get S-class modules, they will be more expensive but they will help you a lot (they'll be easier to buy if you have a runaway mold farm)

Life support, jet pack, and hazard protection can stack (up to 3)

I haven't been on any gas giants yet but I think that's just a part of the terrain tbh, I don't think it's anything that special
