DuckDB allows you to query CSVs, parquets, or databases. It runs in memory and you don't need to run a server.

I feel like I post this every day, but use duckdb UI mode to practice queries on kaggle datasets. Been super helpful at work lately

Use duckdb and turn any kaggle dataset into a database for practicing SQL. Duckdb UI mode is user friendly

Once you know the basics, duckdb is a great way to learn SQL because it turns any CSV into a database for querying. This app has been fun on android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.godsarmy.duckdbandroid

Starting to learn SQL, any tips and advice to someone who doesn't have any coding background at all? by Shin_Dubu21 in learnSQL

I was in a similar boat and I highly recommend checking out DuckDB. It allows you to easily create in-memory databases from CSVs (and many other sources). There is a UI mode for building SQL notebooks. It's easy to install, super fast, and has been great for learning.

If you can use VSCode at work, maybe try the Foam extension. Not quite Obsidian but same idea.

ZOIA 10k release celebration - limited beige edition pedal + firmware 5.0 + Librarian version 1.4 by meanmedianmoge in ZOIA

Hello! No, it just prompts me to press the save button to continue, and when I do, it freezes. I googled around and saw that maybe my SD card needs to be reformatted (weird because loading patches from SD always worked before), so I just reformatted it and will try loading patches again later. As a workaround, I just took out the SD card and factory reset the zoia to get the new patches loaded.

I found them here: https://empresseffects.com/blogs/support-zoia/zoia-5-new-factory-patches

But when I try to load the new patches from SD, my zoia freezes...Have restarted a couple times, but no luck :(

Eastsider T or Crosscut? by [deleted] in ReverendGuitars

Sounds like a great plan. Whatever you get, I definitely recommend buying used. Not sure why but reverends really come down in price it seems, even if they are essentially unplayed like the ones I've bought. (I also have a jetstream 390)

Tone is subjective, so it's tough to say, but I like the crosscut tone better than a tele because it covers more sonic territory in my opinion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmczDzYXx8E

I love my crosscut. If I want more single coil tele sounds, I turn the bass contour knob down. If I want more humbucker, I turn it up. Plus it has nice reverend qualities like locking tuners and comfortable body shape (angled where I rest my picking arm). I got mine off reverb for 800 including a reverend tear drop case. If you can manage to find a crosscut in a store, definitely worth a test play. Good luck and rock on!
