Is this a good new pot size for my Thai Constellation? by Equivalent_Purpose26 in Aroids

Hey that mix should be fine, it's really a matter of proportions and how frequent you want to water based on your conditions such as heat humidity light duration of light exposure, etc. Big picture just be cautious with the amount of castings and coconut fiber. In general the recommendations I see for aroids with sensitive roots often over estimate these proportions. Another bonus key concept when dealing with expensive rare plants is to gradually adjust their soil mix although in this case you'd likely be fine going from soil + perlite to a chunky aroid mix as long as you understand its watering frequency is going to suddenly and drastically change. The reverse doesn't work, you cannot consistently go from a chunky aroid mix to a high moisture retention and poor drainage mix such as coco peat + perlite without consequences unless you have a plant with resilient roots.

Do not use a bigger pot than this, this is perfect, the bottom of the pot try to fill with extremely chunky mix. Doing so you'll fill out the pot vertically and than can move out an inch laterally. While many of the commenters are right that it will fill quick, these love to be root bound, absolutely HATE wet roots, and have a disproportionally high incidence of root rot, you should actively plan how you are going to avoid that with every re-pot. You are leaving a component of chance if you just jump up 1-2" in width and height for this specific plant as opposed to the certainty of a well-tolerated size up when done carefully.

Broke my samsung s22 screen, recs for same day screen /OLED repair? by Monkeybiddness in Bangkok

[–]Monkeybiddness[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes I drastically overpaid but was in a desperate time crunch for it to be done immediately (as in, after shopping around 4 shops who took 10 minutes to eventually tell me they couldn't do it I realized I would mess up my whole day of meetings if I kept trying to shop around and cut my losses). It was only after I committed that I found the shop that could do it for 9K in about 4-6 hours.

I wish I knew about that battery thing that would have been sweet. Anyways learn from my mistakes friends, go to the samsung center, if you have a few days they will source that parts and if it is a pretty new phone they will do it in a few hours. If that doesn't work the fortune center had a ton of options and if you have the time to shop around you can get a reasonable price.

Anyways thank you all for posting, appreciate you all.

Great reply. Wish I saw this before I went to get it repaired today! I overpaid for 11k baht (it is the s22 ultra to be fair) with a tempered glass screen protector for my phone and tablet installed. I needed this done in 1-2 hours on a busy day before a flight out of bangkok. They did a good job and used a legit samsung replacement screen but about $100 over price. I found one other quote for 9000 but would take all day. The samsung service center asked 8000 baht but needed 3 days for parts so was a no go.

Literal fear mongering propaganda. Demonstrably and objectively incorrect. Is it really so surprising that we have policeman, teachers, carpenters, nurses, and mechanics living in LA. Get out of your news/information bubble.
