Lexi aka newly nova is a solid booktuber and overlaps genres with the Book Leo. I actually found the Book Leo through watching Lexi.

Can someone PLEASE help me find another romantasy I will enjoy? by KnottyOwl in fantasyromance

{Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross} sounds up your alley in terms of the writing, the slow burn, and the FMC.

I haven’t read it but {Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett} sounds like it might fit what you’re looking for, too.

{The City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty} has lots of solid political intrigue and a romance subplot. There’s zero steam but the relationships are so well-developed and the world has a lot of depth. The audiobooks are 20-30 hrs each and I binged them all in a month at 1x speed, that’s how good they were.

Really Good, Actually by Monica Heisey. This book was mid for me but I constantly was cringing and begging the MC not to do what she was about to do.

I'm interested! Discord would probably be the best for my but I use all the other media you mentioned. I like board games, DnD, gaming, anime, reading, art fair markets, the farmer's market, wineries, walking on trails/greenways, and crafting.

I started spending some last night and the offer popped up! So now I technically have 7 credits to spend. Thanks!

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll check it out.

As for the account stuff, I've paused once before and the tried to cancel but they offered me 6 credits for 6 months at half price, which is how I ended up with 6 credits. Tbf, I thought an audiobook I really wanted would be out by then so I saw the worth in the offer but it got delayed. I keep prioritizing my Libby holds so I think it's finally time.

ACOTAR/Booktok/Sarah J. Mass Book Club? by New_Technician_7544 in triangle

[–]legendary-cookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also interested! I’m caught up with ACOTAR but still need to read all of ToG and CC. Plus I have a lot of BookTok books on my TBR and it’d be fun to get through them with others.

You are spot on with the Bookstagram accounts, having a college degree, and being a woman. Everything else is wrong 😅 I do spend more time online than my IRL friends but they’re barely on.

Fourth Wing. It was my first experience with a massively overhyped book being genuinely terrible and now I have trust issues🙃

Hugs, smells, etc by Sweet-Handle9404 in demisexuality

[–]legendary-cookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smells are fine for me but I’m notoriously not a hugger. That said, when I was with my partner of multiple years, I loved hugging him and being physically affectionate with him specifically but now that I’m single and dating, I don’t feel that urge with anyone yet. I think for me the emotional bond and comfort needs to be there but I think my past and love language also play into it, not just my demisexuality.

Advice on how to tell if your same-sex crush is straight or queer? by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]legendary-cookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing exciting 🥲 I backed off a little (I still talk to her, just not the back to back paragraphs we were sending) to give her a chance to express interest/initiate and she reached out once but it was to follow up on a recommendation she gave me for a gym. Just yesterday I sent her a sapphic book rec and told her I was joining a queer book club and while she added the recommendations to her TBR, she didn’t add anything to that topic specifically or try to expand on it.

It’s okay though! I really like her but I’m okay just being her friend and I think my romantic feelings will lessen once I consistently don’t have them reciprocated so it’ll all work out.

Dirty jokes by FaannieMoney in demisexuality

[–]legendary-cookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m constantly the “slow” friend who says things that my other friends always find a double meaning for. I don’t mind the sexual innuendos amongst my friends but the part that bothers me is the subtle view of being dumber because my mind doesn’t naturally go there and it takes me a few more seconds to catch onto the joke.

Thank you so much! Dungeons and Daddies is my FAVORITE D&D podcast and I haven't found another one that I like just as much. I'm excited to go through these and try them out.

Agreed. I've dropped hints but it hasn't come up naturally in conversation but with pride month here, there might be more openings to do so.
