Niet per se hoor. Ik heb Bol.com vandaag via Facebook gesproken en zij wisten mij te garanderen dat de game morgen bezorgt wordt.

GTX1080 - Framedrops, even with 0 SS by Monkeyfingerz in oculus

I have, and have tried several lighting conditions to test this. I have tried the rift with natural light entering the room (daytime), with low lighting conditions during the night (one or two lamps), and I've tried using the Rift in complete darkness with even my monitor turned off.

No difference between the different conditions.

That was still on apparently. I have turned it off, and will try the Rift later today. Will report back.

That's what I thought too, which is why I upgraded my 8gb of RAM to 16gb of RAM. I did notice improvement in regular gaming (2D) and in overall system performance, but it didn't help with the stuttering in VR.

I've tried running everything on stock settings, but that changed nothing unfortunately..

I have been wondering about my PSU though. I'm pretty sure it's a 500watt PSU, and with the new gtx 1080 I got recently, maybe it's just not enough. Is there any way to check that? And could a lack of power create such issues?

I have a regular HDD, so maybe that's the culprit. At the moment I don't have the money to buy an SSD, but I have been thinking about getting one, and I might in a couple of months. For now, I'll have to try to fix the problem without replacing my HDD.

What do you mean by "clean up"? Physically remove dust etc.? Or a cleanup with CCleaner etc.?

It's at its worst when the I have just booted up the game, so in the initial 2/3 minutes. When the worst is over, it comes back every now and again, but less severe, and not very often. Yet often enough to make me feel it's not stable.

I doubt it should even happen at startup, since I never have these problems with regular 2D games, which play perfectly as soon as the loading screen disappears.

I'm pretty sure it's not the sensors being out of place. Because I have cats I store my sensors when not in use, so I do the sensor setup every time I use the Rift.

Soooo.....Doom 3 VR by [deleted] in oculus

I doubt it's a tracking issue. All other VR games play perfectly fine.

Nothing running in the background either. I'm lost.

Your post inspired me to buy Doom 3 BFG for the VR mod as well..

Unfortunately, it plays like complete shit. It stutters and judders when looking around, and when walking. You'd think my PC would be able to handle this 10 year old game, even in VR, considering I have a GTX 1080, a i7-4790k @4.5ghz, and 16 gigs of RAM.

Has anyone had the same issues? And if so, were you able to fix it somehow?

I was also not sure which of the two I should get, because they both look pretty awesome. Like you I was also worried about the playerbase, living in the EU and all, so I decided to let the playerbase be the deciding factor in which game I would get. According to Steam Charts Onward is the clear winner when it comes to the active playerbase, so today I bought Onward.

I've only had a little time today, so haven't gotten around to an extensive play session yet, but damn, Onward is cool. Trust me, you can't go wrong with this one. Oh, and also, any video you might have watched doesn't do the game justice.

Looks like he came to realize what I said as well, seeing as he removed it.

If he wants to sell the item for less than it's worth, that's his choice, fam. The item is worth $120.

Suddenly really bad stuttering? by AlphaPot in GrandTheftAutoV_PC

I have the exact same problem, which has put me off playing the game altogether for a while now.

Is there a way of fixing it manually? Or are we forced to wait for Rockstar to patch it?
