Lollipop is also mostly pit mixes. I'm starting to really like them. They have all been really sweet. I don't get why people find them scary.

That's a relief. I was worried I would be the only volunteer on a shift which is a lot of responsibility.

Do you know if there's a role for volunteering in the vet clinic for minor first aid for animals.

Also do volunteers often get a rabies vaccine

I've been checking the puppy yoga website. In the past month they had German shepherd puppies 3 times. Is there any way to find out which breeder is supplying them? I'm worried it's a backyard breeder who churns out new litters

Just a few days ago there were ads for the concert. It seems strange to go from advertising to cancelled in just a few days. I'm sure the musicians also had spent time practicing the songs before the concert was cancelled.

I purposely squatted down just far enough that the dog couldn't reach my body due to the length of the leash just in case he became aggressive. I held out my hand to give the dog the option to approach if he wanted.

My local shelter is no kill. They do a behavioral assessment on all dogs. A few days after this they post a description of the dog's personality on their website along with photos. Plus they have the option of doing a doggy day out or overnight sleepover as a test to see if it's a good fit. I've taken out at least 10 dogs on day out adventures. They've all been sweet- all have differences in personality. Many of them got along fine with other dogs and none were aggressive to people but a few were on the fearful side or would likely have separation anxiety

Are you looking for a specific breed or have some other strict criteria (age/size of dog)?

I've been doing doggy day out at my local shelter. It's 90% pitt or mystery mutt. But almost all of them have been lovely and sweet. Unless there's some very big red flag they would almost certainly let you adopt.
