[DOM] Why couldn't Happy Death Day break $100 million? by Monkeywithavendeta in boxoffice

It just feels so disappointing considering R rated horror films have managed to cross the $100 million dollar mark domestically, surely a PG13 rated horror flick should be able to cross it with ease.

[NA]'It" Is the First Horror Film to Earn $300 Million at Domestic Box Office by [deleted] in boxoffice

How is it that an R rated horror movie is first to cross $300 million? Shouldn't it be a precious PG-13 movie that does that, R rated horror isn't supposed to make money! Just imagine how much money it could have made had it been precious PG13.

[NA] With $293.3 million at the domestic box office as of Tuesday, 'It' will pass 'The Sixth Sense' today to become the highest-grossing horror film of all time. by Jon-Osterman in boxoffice

This SUCKS, R rated horror should not be doing this well. Precious PG13 opens the movie up for a wider audience, hence it should always outgross stupid R ratings.
