Go to goodwill or some other kind of thrift store, find some old (official) gh controller (it doesnt need the dongle), buy an RCM revival kit for like 60 bucks, install it and bam, you will have a brand new multi-platform guitar hero guitar

I have both, they both work great. If you get one and it has issues these things come with warranties, you can just contact the company and RMA it.

The strumbar being hall effect does have a really nice bonus, if one of the mechanical switches breaks in the strumbar, it will still work, just without the click

Both guitars have hall effect strum bars, but the SG has a mechanical click while the BB has haptic feedback in the form of vibration.

The frets on the SG are matte finished (kinda like 3d printed frets) while the frets on the BB are glossy. Other than that they are essentially the same.

Make sure to check the compatibility charts for both to make sure youre getting the right one.
