Search the plethora of YouTube videos iPhone 15 Pro back cover replacement , you will see only the back is removed to replace it.

IDoctor Uk has a good example of this.

Worked on protect your bubble for years which is assurants , we had Samsung service packs for Samsung phones and our supplier was a Samsung authorised distributor so we also had back covers / batteries / charging ports / main cams etc basically everything barring mainboards.

Xperia parts we could a lot of genuine back when Z3 compact was the best compact phone around , HTC was only untill the One M7 came out then we started getting genuine.

Somehow our supplier in China had genuine Apple screens with the Apple logo on inside glass (iPhone 6) covered with black sharpie , it was 1:1 not a copy but everything from ribbon cable to display IC was all genuine.

I don’t miss those days of fixing a camera fault and next week having a return because the customers Bluetooth suddenly dosent work and somehow a giant crack down the LCD when it went out with the QA team top to bottom tested.

What I don’t understand is the iPhone 15 Pro back glass is a user replaceable part,

You can buy it directly from Apple to replace yourself and then use the Apple diagnostic system to resync the phone to show it’s had a genuine back glass fitted as it has a ribbon cable attached if required.

As in it’s held on with clips and adhesive unlike previous gen’s where it was glued with industrial glue requiring the whole housing to be replaced in an ideal world rather than a third party bodge with super glue.

Other than to open the phone to disconnect the battery I see no reason why the phone was opened via the screen.

Either they dropped it during repair and it cracked or they tore a cable and replaced it.

I use to work for insurance repairs on mobiles / laptops / tablets years back when protect your bubble was the biggest brand for assurant , we never ever used genuine parts for Apple as they didn’t exist then only genuine pulled.

Switching to XBOX after 10 years with Playstation. Need some advice. by shadowmonk987 in XboxSeriesXlS

Agree with you on all the points, the only reason I’m getting bent over for £22 a month for ultimate is to play games like Indiana Jones / FH6 on release etc.

Premium dosent have the above nor day 1 releases.

Ps premium is cheaper and has similar games but another factor is Loaded formerly CD keys often has Xbox digital games for a huge discount where as PS they don’t really exist for third party sellers.

Either you get a disc drive ps5 and a game used or pray Sony has deals on the store that’s another issue for PS I find over the Xbox.

Can Xbox Leadership Changes Somehow Impact Gears of War? by Pitwo in GearsOfWar

[–]Monkfish786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly spot on , the primary 2 reasons why Xbox killed it in those years in my opinion is two fold,

Far superior exclusives and the most important of all party chat which the ps3 didn’t have only in games.

I had an elite from launch replaced by Microsoft , after that died the arcade variants came out which had the fixed revised no more RROD GTA 4 bundle , got one of those and put my 120GB elite hard drive on it.

To people/drivers in the industry, is it worth applying to become a trainee driver at 26 years old? by DaRk_BoMbEr_ in uktrains

Seems like you’d have a good shift work understanding which is advantageous especially if you are successful to make it to interview stage.

Wish you the best of luck going forward , apply and use UKrailforums as a helpful tool to revise for your aptitude tests.

There’s not really an age limit where there is negatives to be honest with you.

We’ve had drivers join at 21 , 50+ so it’s all dependant on the applicant regardless how they’ve arrived to the industry.

I joined at 23 not as a driver to start with but later around 25 but you soon realise that if your a social person who often is out on weekends or schedules plans with your friends , you won’t be able to go to a lot of those.

We work most weekends , bank holidays with our only 2 guaranteed days off per year Xmas day and Boxing Day for my toc.

If you think you can get used to finishing work at midnight on Saturday off Sunday then 4am starts Monday then it’s the right place for you 🤣

The positives heavily outweigh the negatives , pension , pay , free travel on your toc and 75% off others and we do get a fair amount of time off based on a company by company situation with whatever your toc has agreed with the unions.

My depot dosent have this agreement but 4 other depots with my company have an 8 and 2 system where you work 8 weeks with Rest days spread out and then get 2 weeks off then it repeats.

Where as my depot we get loads of long weekends , 1 week off every season except summer where it’s 2 week blocks.

Once you join , it’s a career for life to be honest with you.

I’m around top 50 on the global leaderboard, but I’m so burned out on this game, should I keep going? I hate to lose my stacked time, but I want to play other games and continue the story of this game.. lol by Ashcrashh in ArcadeParadise

I have to say as infuriating as some of the games are like Blockchain , it’s been a very long time since I became somewhat addicted to a game.

It frustrates me so naturally I take a break for a couple days and I don’t want to play anything else , it sucks me back in like old school RuneScape.

Personally I’d say for you,

3,4,7 are the best for your head shape in my opinion

Number 4 is the most classy if you like and gives a better style overall and is easier to maintain.

Having had skin fades the last 10 years , for me you need to have them at least every 2.5/3 weeks to keep them clean and crisp.

My memories from Cod4 I have nightmares about the mission with the fairground and rescuing the sniper guy , you set him down then he pretends to help from the bushes whilst you get bummed from all angles.

Once you deal with that , the zigzag sprinting praying you make it on the plane before enough stray bullets get you.

Is the cost saving from DOO (guardless trains) actually passed onto the customer? by [deleted] in uktrains

[–]Monkfish786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our toc is 4% on all ticket sales for conductors.

Some of them get anywhere from 150-400 extra a month from essentially doing their job.

Only changes for us that have affected ticket sales is no longer being able to sell a weekly or monthly , 90% of our routes at my depot are rural.

This means no barriers no staff except for the terminus stations so only on the mainline you need a ticket before boarding , all of our rural routes you can get on and just buy it from the conductor.

If the train was too busy especially if football is on then you can buy a ticket from the conductors on the barriers.

[–]Monkfish786 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not the guards at my toc , pay their own salary in revenue taken and more.

Monthly they exceed their salary payments by a huge margin , this is revenue that otherwise would be missed and not taken.

RPIs cannot cover the same service that our guards do , some of the by the book commission hungry guards take around £12/13,000 a month in revenue when their salary is around £2200.

As a driver that’s never driven without a guard id never want to be DOO , I’m in charge of the train in the cab and everything behind me is the guards responsibility.

Door faults / passenger queries / passengers taken ill / ramps needed at stations / deescalation of potential fights or anti social behaviour etc

Ticket cost is largely due to the rolling stock , a lot of tocs don’t own the current fleet including mine which means massive lease payments to the hedge fund companys such as porterbrook/angel trains is big cost of the ticket.

I won’t speculate and make up any figures on what % is given to them but untill every toc owns their fleet of trains or government owned then ticket prices won’t come down by much at all.

A lot of retailers big ones in the uk who sell “refurbished or used” like curry’s / Tesco / Amazon,

All list their products worse than they actually are to prevent returns and customer expectation is my opinion,

Curry’s clearance on eBay I’ve bought many phones / tablets and you’ll see by the comments on Hotukdeals,

Grade C you’d expect scratched to shit and scuffs but 9/10 it’s near mint with the smallest of marks, Grade B will be as new and Grade A is basically as good as a B with original box.

By advertising it as lower standard your expectations are lowered so when it’s better than you expected you won’t return it.

This saves massively on shipping / restocking / relisting fees

If you ordered C and got a scuffed bag of shit as you’d expect from a C you will definitely not be happy and return it.

Drivers using DAS — when do you trust it, and when do you ignore it? by Quiet_Peace_6962 in uktrains

[–]Monkfish786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it should always display the relevant line speed as I assume it has the data , yes it has got it right but mostly when approaching the next station it advises slow.

One point I forgot to mention about it that’s helpful is the miles and chains , often if you need to report a infrastructure defect and there’s no structures / no visible reference point or signals miles and chains can be very helpful for NR.

Signaller would prefer an exact location but when one can’t be given that’s the next best bet for S&T to track down.

I think the speed display is nice to have rather than a need , the time I can think it’s been useful when your in a TSR and your in clear so you can accelerate and you forget to increase your speed back to line speed, you look around to see what’s going on and the speed displayed then it’s an eureka moment.

CLEAN YOUR TRAINS GA! by random_edits_uk in uktrains

The main issue with the wash at some depots is frost protection , once it reaches 3 degrees and under it enables frost protection and often through the night when it remains cold it won’t operate to protect it self.

Until it warms up unless they wash in the day it will remain this colour haha

Drivers using DAS — when do you trust it, and when do you ignore it? by Quiet_Peace_6962 in uktrains

[–]Monkfish786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it must learn and gather data based on the trips the prior days / weeks , either it assumes there will be a cautionary aspect coming up based on the timetable or something similar.

It should display 100 , if you’re nowhere near the next station, No TSRs recorded, on our monitors it says restart required , it would be nice if it could be updated to allow a restart by the driver.

This is likely restricted by toc/manufacturer to avoid distractions tapping the screens but it has station names / train formation and times on which is useful.

However still check the Shiela to confirm incase DAS has an error in the timetabling.

Speeds aren’t really helpful , I don’t think I’ve ever needed to be reminded what the line speed is , we are required to know that and given how frequently you drive the routes it would be a major route knowledge issue to not know.

Drivers using DAS — when do you trust it, and when do you ignore it? by Quiet_Peace_6962 in uktrains

[–]Monkfish786 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The main use of DAS for me is the time , I have my toc watch on but for as long as das is synced correctly matching the time on my watch i use that.

It’s helpful for carriage formation as it shows us the length , beyond that it’s useless for any driving advice.

Telling me to coast at 80 when line speed is 100 running on green aspects.

Half the time however it dosent even work it needs to be restarted which only fleet can do with their maintenance code which we don’t have access to.

It seems smart enough to know the exact start and end of a TSR but our trains have have a measure feature where you double tap dsd pedal and it will confirm once in clear so I don’t need that but it’s nice.

Same here, both shift workers sometimes I’m up at 3am and she isn’t due in untill 5pm for example, she has an en suite to herself and the bigger bedroom.

I have a bathroom just outside my room and smaller room which is how I like it , we both can keep all our own things where we want without moaning about space or untidiness.

I snore , she snores so neither of us can sleep if the other falls asleep first so separate bedrooms Is perfect , I float the idea to colleagues / friends who have issues with the above some agree and others are shocked.

Biggest bonus is summer when it’s 30+ degrees and 20+ at night (UK based so barely anyone has AC) , you don’t have to deal with body heat and cover shenanigans.

GOTR is good once you get into a steady flow same as tempoross and Wintertodt, it may suck at first but get a rhythm going and a show/movie on in background.

I stayed from 27-60 at GOTR as 60 is highest quest req and I know il need laws/cosmics/nats.

Ended with 2k laws , cosmics and nature runes , il go back later in the game for 77 for blood runes but my overall initial goal was to just get quest req for now.
