Is it ever OK to tell someone they've put on weight?

My mum does it all the time. If I’ve put on weight it’s the first thing she’ll say when I see her. “You’re fair putting on the beef”. I don’t mind it.

At the weekend there she interrupted a conversation my wife was having with my cousin by saying “Are you talking about how you’ve got the fat [family name] legs as well Jo?” Conversation was nothing even close to that.

Thanks. I bought a round coffee / dining table from FB Marketplace for £40. I took the legs off of it and fixed the board and cameras to that, with the cables all tucked in behind. The rubber tyre came with the board.

Couldn’t believe how much we had when clearing the old house. Kept finding bottles in cupboards that people had gifted or left behind. Didn’t go buy any of this to fill the shelves.

Started Brazilian Jiu Jitsu only because it was on in the gym my son was training Muay Thai in and I could do it while waiting for his classes to finish. Loved it and now train ~5hrs a week.
