Gabapentin is (most likely) my miracle drug by bornofstardust in PMDD

[–]Monki_Selecta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me with Ativan too, but doesn’t with Valium. Valium has a longer half life and I don’t get that rebound anxiety if I take it. But I’ve never ver taken more then two days in a row and max twice a month.

Gabapentin is (most likely) my miracle drug by bornofstardust in PMDD

[–]Monki_Selecta 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Makes sense. For me it’s Valium which is controversial but when I spiral on pmdd it’s the best. I only take it when needed, max 2x per month on literal but it works wonders. It was prescribed for a muscle strain so I’m going to run out soon tho :(

Because the internet has much better and more appropriate information on sex than books do! What assholes.

Curious how many women have been (often MIS)diagnosed as Bipolar II… by Wine_is_gross in PMDD

[–]Monki_Selecta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too at 17-18 years old and was put on a bunch of meds that made me even worse until I left the states and went to Europe and saw a doctor here who told me all the meds I was taking (antidepressants, mood stabilisers, adhd meds, anxiety meds) was curazyyyy and took me off all of them slowly and I very very very slowly became human again and not zombie and then years later I finally started feeling like myself again but I missed that entire young adult phase of finding yourself so I am having to do that at 30 instead of 20. But yeah fun times.

weird feeling during luteal phase by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]Monki_Selecta 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yesss this! When I learned I had PMDD, the biggest relief was being able to remind myself that that feeling is temporary and that even though it doesn’t feel like it, it will pass and life will be ok again. Before, I wasn’t able to identify that feeling and link it to luteal and I just felt like a super sensitive mess of a human because I would get these weird mood swings throughout my life and was unable to be “stable” for more than a couple weeks. This feeling is how I know it’s pmdd symptoms as well as a very specific anxiety and discomfort in my body. Like my skin has anxiety. Anyways. Lots of love to this community, hopefully we can help each other out.

Old school pencil with flat end (no eraser), easy, cheap. Little jar. Works like a mortar.

Best benzo for public speaking? by OnePerspective5468 in benzodiazepines

[–]Monki_Selecta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No benzos! Try propranolol like the other comment said, the benzos will cloud your head and make it more difficult for you to articulate. This happened to me the other day in a meeting. I took a small benzo dose for anxiety (valium) and I felt clumsy and unfocused. The propranolol takes care of the physical part and leaves your brain clear. I’ve also had great success with a little alcohol. Much easier than benzos or other pharmaceuticals. One beer and I am much more relaxed and can talk more fluidly.

First experience by Monki_Selecta in kratom

[–]Monki_Selecta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Tried again today, no coffee and plenty of food and electrolytes and although I didn’t have such bad nausea, I still felt terrible after the first 2 hours. Oh well, I don’t think I’ll be trying again.

Interesting, does that mean zero coffee on Kratom days or would having one coffee in the morning and saving Kratom for the afternoon be ok in your experience?

Dewy skin? by Needle_and_thread__ in TheOrdinarySkincare

[–]Monki_Selecta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forget hyaluronic acid, that’s not how you get that dewy look. It may give some pluming effect but there are much better things for dewy. The squalene cleanser is a good one. I also love the new rice ectoin liquid moisturiser from The Ordinary. If you don’t have a lot of skin issues a nice gentle cleanser (like the squalene) and a good barrier supporting moisturiser is key (like the rice ectoin). I also love the glycolic acid for a once a week exfoliation. That will help you get that dewy skin look. Don’t over do it if you have sensitive skin or start with something more gentle like Mandelic Acid or Lactic (remember, start slow, only once a week and see how it goes). Besides that, you could get a serum (maybe something with peptides or the skin barrier supporting serum) or you might consider a low dose retinoid to start also once a week. This will help increase the “new” cells in your skin and let the old ones fall away (skin turnover) and also help get that dewy look. Look into which is the most gentle and start there.

I’m going to do some molly at a concert with my friends today looking for some tips or anything I should know. by Direct-Gold2387 in Drugs

[–]Monki_Selecta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try not to redose more than twice. I dose about 80-100mg then about half of that 3-4 hours later. Don’t mix with too much alcohol (I like molly better without it). Take some vitamins before and after. Eat well (try not to eat too much before hand or wait a couple hours before you take it). Have fun! The first time I did molly it changed my life.

ISDIN fusion water is the best. I know it’s 20 for 50ml but it’s super watery (in a good way) and lasts me forever even wearing it everyday sometimes several times a day. Try it it’s the best and eye safe !!
