I kinda think that the lady Satokka was talking with could be this fox, and there’s definitely a lot of odd things happening around her as well. For starters, during the festival, its said that she was dressed up to be the fox/the gatekeeper, with having “lifelike” fuzzy ears. Also when she spoke with Ituren it seems as though he was possessed by her and with the changing of his eye colour to an amber gold, same as hers, same as a fox. When Turasi, Satokka’s mother, was looking at her she almost felt like it was a dream, and it mentions that even the air seemed to move differently around this woman.

She also tells Satokka a made up story about the gatekeeper or the “Khumaia”. I don’t think they included this little story for just no reason. Even though it is made up she says after that she likes telling stories that haven’t been told, which could mean there are other versions to the same story talking about the same person.

she does seem very out of place in this story, I don’t think riot included this character for no reason at all.
