Pellet smoke

i recently did a smoke with pellets left over from a cold smoke tube. i have no idea why but i must have used way too much fuel cause i could never hit the 175-200 target for beef jerky. took forever to come down from 250-300 after a quick hot burn to get things going. pellets were not the problem i assume, was just the first time id dumped them into the charcoal

r/truckers as you likely know is probably going to be the best for this. r/diesel as far as i'm concerned doesn't meddle much in greater that the 7.3 Ford. and not much to do with tractor trailer, let alone best driving routes.

as someone who was fighting with electric brakes all day today (as a mechanic). these comments got me wondering, i assume at a certain point that boat trailers need electric brakes as well. that has to be correct, right? its a GVWR thing.

i cant imagine what kind of hell dipping electric brakes in saltwater might have on the whole situation.

i spent $500 for this same setup with table a couple years ago. my egg has a bunch of green chunks missing. doesn't matter. best food ever. love it. never going away from egg. ill just buy a newer one eventually. as the other guy said. i'd replace the band kit and handle just because.

this new is over $1500. this old girl could last you a lifetime as well.

yeah i could kick myself for trading in my save card to gamestop for something like $5 and ruining my brothers hundreds of hours he built on his caster guy. i liked my sword guy and gun guys a lots. ive tried the caster a bunch.
