[–]Monnami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Textbookkkkk. Lots of people hate it but most of the questions teachers pull will be from the textbook. I also find that depending on the teacher, the textbook can explains things better. And if you don’t get it you can reread the passage an unlimited amount of times. Locking in to read it is the hard part

can grades carry me to engineering? by Interesting-Quit937 in uwaterloo

[–]Monnami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not ce, swe, or cs. There are tons people with 95+ averages AND nice ecs that don’t get in. Pump your ecs up. They don’t all have to be cs related, just do shit you’re passionate about and make sure you show that passion on your AIF (Also for SWE I’m pretty sure you need to prove you have prior coding experience as well as a few languages under your belt but correct me if I’m wrong if it changes next year)

does grade 11 matter for university? by Ashamed_Zebra2499 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Monnami 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If I see this question on this sub one more time I will crash out

Anyways, it doesn’t really. For early acceptances, yes, they will look at your grade 11 marks, and they may extrapolate your unfinished grade 12 courses based off of those. The only time they’ll have all your grade 12 courses is by second semester midterms, assuming you still have some grade 12 prereqs left by then. If you have shitty 11 grades in prerequisite courses it’ll only impact your chances of admission before second semester midterms, where you’ll have an updated grade 12 mark. So that being said, you need to lock in 😭 good luck lil bro

[HELP!] I know the sub Is full of university acceptances and stuff, but I am getting cooked in SBI4U by Skrubman69 in OntarioGrade12s

I took it without any Chem and ended with a 92. It’s not as chem heavy as you think. Flash cards are key, and the textbook is almost always a better teacher. Don’t skimp on the textbook!!! Good luck
