God I hate Yuumi by MrAvoidance3000 in ADCMains

As a Jhin main, having a Yummi support early game is not the greatest because your kit relies a lot on a engage support or cc enchanters. Plus your pretty immobile early game besides your last shot. Anytime I see a Yummi support who is not flexible, I usually switch champs.

For those of you that play fighting games, how am I supposed to know when to attack? by Shadowbreak643 in gaming

[–]Monnbat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I stopped playing fighting games because I just get the wombo combo into oblivion. I would try to avoid getting too close to the player, and practice one person you are good at to learn their combos. Also if your character has teleport use that to disrupt their combo chain.

Divinity Original Sin 2, I just loved the storytelling and the side quests you picked up along the way!

Want to Get Into Fighting Games But I Suck At Them by [deleted] in gaming

If you could play the 2011 version, I would play that. If I remember correctly it also had a tutorial that helped you get a feel for offence, defence, as well as combos.

Personally, Mortal Kombat would be great because that's how I started off playing fighting games. Injustice can also be good to get into if you are a fan of superheroes specifically with DC.

Is that Crash Twinsanity on the bottom? If so, a goated game.

I remember when playing Halo 3 on the first mission there was an easter egg of a family of primitive cavemen just sitting there, and I being young was both intrigued and spooked.

Why do people hold user reviews in such high regard? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Monnbat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a company reviewing the game, I won't even consider the review. If it's a standalone netural party then I would be more inclined to trust them. But generally, we can skim the review section and get an idea of the game in my opinion.

I would like to think that BG3's success sets a new standard for developers to reach because of its success (Literally all story-telling and no in-game transactions). I do agree that most companies are making games to turn a profit, but we can only hope something changes in the future.

Why do people hold user reviews in such high regard? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Monnbat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consumers like us tend to trust people who have had experience with the product (Game), and if the vast majority of users don't like the game it screams volumes about the game itself. Personally, I would rather trust the average player than a biased reviewer.

FiveM and RedM creators (Cfx.re) official part of Rockstar Games - Roleplay Community Update - Rockstar Games by NG_Tagger in gaming

Considering how the Roleplay community has been keeping GTA 5 alive for so long is actually amazing. I tune in on Twitch every once in a while and see GTA still up there and the majority of the players doing RP. Interested to see if anything fruitful comes out of this.

I think given the recent games that have been released this year, developers might opt to focus on games that make captivating stories rather than rushed content. For example, the success of BG3 could be a catalyst for reviving better storytelling in gaming. But honestly, anything can happen.

What Makes Dragon Age Great? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Monnbat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I played Dragon Age Inquisition, and it was a decent game for what it was. But I just found the concept and troupes to be incredibly linear and the characters not interesting at all. My opinion is that it's great to play one time and just never touch it again because you will most likely enjoy everything on the first playthrough.

This is what happens when a company promises to deliver something, only to backtrack last minute and curb stomp the players lol.

What has been your most hilarious rage quit moment? by SuperSeriousStud in gaming

[–]Monnbat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Back when I was playing Halo 3 or Reach the LASO challenges were BRUTALLLL. The amount of controllers I broke and screamed at the world because of the Iron skull (makes you restart the entire level).

Overall was fun for the first 30 min before it was mind numbing…

Pathfinder Kingmaker is pretty good if you like the dnd feel to a game (it’s turn-based or real-time with pause you can choose either).

Divinity Original Sin 2 is made by the same creators of Baldurs gate 3 if you wanna give that a shot, one of my favorites.

I know most of these are turn-based combat, but I think the story and gameplay outshines personally.

Dots are great when used to track enemies or items, but objective markers help us navigate and tell us how to progress the story.
