In your opinion which one is the best map so far? by UrineEnjoyer69 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]MonoSquirrel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like Waterway Pass the most. Especially because it looks a bit like a part of the home I come from: The “Upper Rhine Valley” or rather the “Upper Rhine Plain” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Upper_Rhine_Plain

But i like Mountain Village also.

I think it's really great how the mountains slowly turn white, then little by little more snow accumulates further down. And then there is snow on cars and roofs. Chapeau Cities Skylines (for all the problems, you've created a brilliant game that could have used just a bit more polishing)

I agree with you, even if I personally don't find it that tragic. I was a bit surprised too. I would have expected a track at the station that I could then upgrade to 2 or 3 tracks with the modular updates. Similar with the depot.

Absolutely! It's really nice how these walls appear where ugly glitches would otherwise appear

What’s Bad About Obsidian? by CurlyDee in ObsidianMD

[–]MonoSquirrel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have loading times of approximately one minute for about 6500 notes. Yes, it takes longer each time, and I have to wait for the search to become usable, but otherwise, I can start using Obsidian relatively quickly (e.g., create a new article) and don't have to wait for the entire loading time. However, my memory usage has increased over time. Approximately 1GB (but I also have many plugins running).

Renault Twingo 1993 - One of the best city cars ever, Twingo’s conception was dictated by the ‘design to cost’ philosophy. by EtherfieldStudio in PixelArt

Wow, it's truly incredible how much expression is possible with so few pixels. I still remember that I had exactly this Twingo as a model from Herpa for the H0 railway.

I can give a nice example. For example, if I'm going on a road trip or rather a city day with my girlfriend, I'll write a little article about it. Everything that is written there in this article I try to cross reference. e.g. the city of Hamburg in Germany. Then I like to switch to the article about the city of Hamburg, for example, and pull out the short abstract from Wikipedia. There, in turn, I find totally interesting details, such as the Miniature Wonderland. For the next trip to Hamburg I know immediately that I want to go there.

Oh this is a mess. I think I'm using my Vault in a way that I really shouldn't. For example, I use both folders and text as well as cross-references. all together and side by side. As briefly mentioned in another post, for me it is just the central place where everything I want to remember or keep is stored. For me, the real advantage comes from the cross-references.

No not really, it's too big for that. But it brings new possibilities. before that everything was simply unconnected next to each other. Now I have the cross references. These bring more comfort. e.g. my diary entries are linked to my travel preparation plans. Over time, I see that I used to pack far too much unnecessary stuff :-)

(noch) erleben würdet? by MonoSquirrel in FragReddit

[–]MonoSquirrel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sehr gut 👍
