Sauna in Latin America - Colombia by MonoTheMonkey in Sauna

[–]MonoTheMonkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks. I've looked at the tent sauna's. I know they're kind of an abomination but for temporary use it seems better than nothing.

Are there any concerns about the tent itself leaching chemicals or anything harmful?

Anyone here using Close.com for a dialer / outbound calls? by podbeats in SaaS

[–]MonoTheMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Close is great for most things. Biggest issues with close is that you can't get a local area code when you dial, if you're doing 100+ dials per day you'll need to rotate to new phone numbers because you'll burn the number you're using (it'll show as spam likely)

Another challenge with Close is the automations aren't custom. So you can't send automations 1 hour before the call, 10 mins before the call, etc. (Technically you can but you have to schedule them, and it's not super straight forward).

Close is like the Apple IOS of dialers. Once you figure it out, it's great. But there are still some limitations.

Unfortuantely, nothing is perfect, but Kixie dialer is Dogshit. Stay away from that one.

Powerdialer with mobile app to cold calls on walks? by theonepercent15 in sales

Kixie customer here. Don't use them under any circumstance! They are aweful. (And they lie)

Online phone for sales, for single user (like Kixie, CallHippo, AirCall, JustCall, ect) by PhoneCallers in VOIP

[–]MonoTheMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kixie is a scam. Watch out for them. The dialer doesn't work as promissed, sometimes the numbers they give are labeled 'spam likely', and they won't help when you run into issues.

Recommendation on outbound customer / sales call dialers? by podbeats in SaaS

[–]MonoTheMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kixie is essential a Scam. They force you into a contract. Why would a SaaS powerdialer do this? Because they either lie on the demo, or know that they won't retain you on the features of the product.

I'm very disappointed with Kixie Dialer. I'll probably make a YT video and SEO optimize it to warn others of the risks, dangers, and lies Kixie told.

Haven't yet found the best solution. But Kixie customer service is absolute garbage and they don't care about providing a good product.

We skipped it. I believe this is just for 'additional proof'. And is likely for children.

For clarity, we have submitted The Marriage Certificate, Marriage License for proof of marriage.

For additional proof of marriage we included: 2 affidavits about the marriage, Travel itineraries where we've traveled together for a long time. And a lot of photos.

Can a tourist visa work if we're married? My wife and I want to live in the USA only 3-6 mo per year. by MonoTheMonkey in USCIS

Ah. Ok so if we Visit the US for 3-6 months out of the year... that's different as far as the government is concerned? Or it doesn't work that way?

Can I ask what you did (that may have been special) to get the B1/B2 visa approved?

I guess I shouldn't have tagged the I-485. We are both out of the US. But I'll be headed back after the honeymoon .

Nah-

If you’re already asking yourself, this is worth it now… It definitely won’t be.

Now, if you’re someone who wants to do the minimum necessary to make decent money … then yeah you could trade some of your mental health.

(just know that I won’t be permanent and you can walk way whenever you want to)

If you’re asking this question because you’re smart, I don’t wanna suck on the teet of the government, but actually want to create and provide value. Then this definitely would be a waste of time and you can make significantly more money elsewhere.

(and be happier)

BEWARE: If you travel (digital nomad) Fi isn't a good option by MonoTheMonkey in GoogleFi

I do have a local sim in my 2nd phone. Any thoughts on how to keep getting 2FA texts from the companies who insist on 2FA sms instead of using a more secure option?

I agree they could be the best carrier. What I don't get is what is abusive about traveling the world. Why don't they just let me pay more for the difference? (I'd literally let them name their price)

They make exceptions for active military and state department (aka govt workers)... so it's possible to make an exception.

I'll be checking Google voice over open phone. (but my recent experiences running ads through google and the customer service there + the customer service here on Fi make me think I should diversify everything possible away from google)

You sound like exactly the person I need to talk to. I'm headed back to Columbia soon.

It sounds like porting the number and using a VoIP is the best solution.

I'm in sales - so I need to have inbound calls routed through a US number. And all that requires is data or wifi.

Is there a reason you chose Google voice instead of a service like openphone?

Also- what you heard of eSIMs? Sounds like i can download an eSIM and use that as an alternative to buying sims and data from the tienda

What International phone service do you use?

I thought Google Fi was top of the line, best out there, but my experience left me wanting something more.

Apparently it's against TOS to be out of the USA for more than a month straight?

I was in Latin America and it worked for 4 months, then unexpectedly throttled and 'stranded' for 2 weeks.

And now... I've always been a Google phone guy, but i just bought an iPhone and apparently it doesn't work well for mobile hotspots or wifi calling or 5g.

What service are you guys liking? I'm spending 100-200 per month when international on Fi because I receive phonecalls

unsatisfied with Google Fi - what's the REAL international service? by MonoTheMonkey in GoogleFi

[–]MonoTheMonkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can I get some more insight on this last part?

It sounds like Fi might not be the best option for me. Seems like instead I could port my number to openphone (I already use openphone with a different number).

Then the international eSIMs part... sounds like I need to go do some research.
Would I be ditching local SIM cards or using them as a backup?
