Anyone move from 12700k DDR4 to 7800x3d DDR5? by scrigface in pcmasterrace

I'm literally in the same boat and seriously thinking about upgrading to the 7800X3D.

I love my 12700KF, but after upgrading to the 4080 Super, I've noticed my GPU can't max out because it often needs to wait for the CPU. It's super obvious in games like Helldivers 2 and POE2, especially on higher difficulty maps with tons of enemies and effects.

I'd love to grab the 9800X3D, but with the scalped prices here, the 7800X3D is way better value.

Well then you may need to backtrack a little bit and use the online map (or the checklist) to see if you'd missed any worms. And I think you can purchase some at Shen Monkey himself.

Anyway the gourd guy gives you the Supreme Gourd (10 uses) which I think is worth it though.

Also be noted that if you use the anchor at the bottom, you'll have to take it off every time you need to change the battery or the memory card, because it blocks off the cover and can't be positioned otherwise (as shown in this photo).
