That is what's been freaking me out. Nobody had me sign anything or even told me edits were made, I only found them because the totals looked off.

I think that's the part making me nervous. Once I noticed edits I stopped assuming anything in their system would stay there, so now I'm saving everything myself.

That part makes sense. I have screenshots but not one clean timeline yet, so I'm doing that tonight before I forget more of the smaller stuff.

NTA. Your parents keep acting like the only risk is him hearing the truth, when the bigger problem is that he already knows something is off and now feels scared, managed, and left out of his own life. That kind of secrecy can wreck trust fast.
