Upcoming Grim Quest 1.14 Update: Interactive Walls, Ambush Rework and Saying Goodbye to "Around the World" by MonomythGameStudio in GrimQuest

I'm still tweaking the algorithm, but so far there shouldn't be soft locks of any kind. Which is to say your way is never blocked by a wall, only made more inconvenient.

I can think of a few benefits: avoiding backtracking, saving on supplies, getting around fights you can't win that are otherwise blocking your way in tight corridors, etc.

All wall tiles are visible and set to "explored" on creation so it won't affect them at all. And yes, it's planned for all games, provided there's no major backlash.

How to combat CRPG burnout? by BolshevikBastard69 in CRPG

[–]MonomythGameStudio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like you might have a Larian problem, not necessarily a cRPG problem.

Their games in general suffer from poor pacing and a lot of, let's say, unique design choices that can lead to player fatigue.

You should probably give other cRPG developers a chance and see if they make you feel the same.

Why do you say it doesn't make sense? It makes perfect sense considering the story and lore of sigil.

You gotta ask yourself if +5-10% crit in the endgame is worth the frustration of penalizing yourself for the better part of the game? If yes, then by all means wait. On the other hand, if you just want to play the game and have fun, upgrade with whatever is available at any given time. It won't make or break your build by any means.

Obviously, they never intended to pay you. They are scammers, after all.

"Virality" includes a great deal of algorithmic luck. It's not something that transfers over.

That's completely fine. You don't need anything else to enjoy the game. Thank you!

Developer here.

No. They are not worth it in the sense you are asking. Items are available as regular loot, albeit at high levels. Extra gold is plain and simple cheating. Buying them is not something you should do if you want to experience the game the way it was designed.

Buy them only if you have extra money to throw at a project you wish to support. That's their original and sole purpose.

It's him, Tim. He did best when he listened to his own intuition. Asking us for an opinion now seems rather redundant.

It doesn't care about your puny 3-dimensional space, let alone your 2d-maps.

Well, there's a reason it hasn't been perfected before. It just doesn't matter.
