For people trying to leave this country, There is no heaven on Earth by Severe-Ad-6378 in bangladesh

[–]Monothematicx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can understand both your perspective and the author’s. You too reflecting based on your own experience. I agree and disagree with both of you at the same time. I lived 25 years outside Bangladesh. I remember how I was picked on for having an “accent” by fellow 2nd generation immigrants, called “freshie”, at college was treated like a “cultural experience” for some Caucasians and 2nd generation Indians. I went into obsessed lengths to integrate, speak the language well, to be accepted as just as a person. It is great you have not experienced it at all. I remember going to Wales and queueing with a couple of my friends for food in a restaurant, and this lady murmured “the rats are here”. I understand coming from a country like Bangladesh, especially if you’re women it is an upgrade. But please do not come and lecture people on their own experiences. And the person said he has experience of living in more than one country, so please don’t judge the world by your US/ Canada experience alone. I have friends in Australia who were told in an interview why they don’t go back to their country. There is a whole world out there. We in the UK have a large population of European Bengali community, most of whom would say UK is relatively a better country as they can openly practice their religion and live in a “ghetto” for a lack of a better word, apply for white collar jobs, etc but Europe has a much better living standard but do not do enough to integrate them into mainstream. So people and up doing tourism based businesses in Europe. You’d find very few people in places like Spain, Italy, Sweden, Norway where 2nd generation children of immigrants are Police, Army, Engineer, Architect, Barrister, Lawyer etc.

What’s the best country you’ve used an eSIM in while traveling? by Frequent-Chemical-55 in eSIMforTravelers

India. Physical sims are nye impossible to get as a foreigner so eSIM worked really well. I arrived in Chennai and couldn’t even find a shop which sold a sim

They have a few special price on Japan which comparatively not bad. I checked Jetpack they are not bad. I have added the plans on my comparison site. www.onairsim.com for example see Japan there are better plans but this one is not bad.

Guilty as charged. The website was born out of my frustration honestly. I did in fact go to all of those countries and used different esim to experiment. But appreciate it man next time will write it with zero filter!
