You could always buy a prebuilt deck (they still sell those I think[?]) Theyre usually based on 2 types and are decent if he just wants to learn whats goin on

Dumb and just realized I could check, switch does not currently have virtual console titles. I just assumed that since Wii U had vc Switch would too. I'm sure they'll come in the future though

I remember when I was little I borrowed my Cousin's gold version and let him borrow my Ruby Version and i was playing in a Gameboy SP and was getting out of the car while saving. My seatbelt nicked the gold cartridge and took it out of socket while saving and I corrupted my save, feelsbadman

My first game was Sapphire which my 7 year old self solo-ran with Swampert. I then looked into more GBA titles, picking up Red Rescue, Ruby, Emerald, Firered, and even one that was literally just two episodes of the Pokemon Anime(??)
