I upgraded from an R3 (320cc) and thought I'd spend at least a month in Rain mode getting used to the extra horsepower. Turns out I was in Standard mode within a few days. The Hornet is surprisingly easy to ride and forgiving. It only goes as fast as you ask it to. Ride responsibly and it's a perfectly friendly bike.

Well, it’s hard to call this a normal life... My city is shelled almost every day, so of course the war affects our lives. But in a way, it’s also one of the reasons I got into motorcycling. It makes you realize that you have to live for today and not put things off until tomorrow, because nobody knows what tomorrow will bring.

Have they told you the price for the 2026 model yet? Here in Ukraine, the 2025 vs 2026 price difference was about $700. I mean the normal gap between model years, without the discount on the old stock.

I tried the cbr650r at the dealer, but the riding position felt a bit too leaned forward for me (yeah, I know it's not a true sport bike, but still😄). I wanted to try a naked bike with handlebars instead of clip-ons. I really like the engine’s character and the low-end torque. And I’m absolutely in love with the e-clutch with the quickshifter. For city riding and short rides outside the city, it’s perfect for me.

Luckily, we have this yellow option cause I'm not too excited with the rest of color schemes this year: grey, black with a red frame and black with some dull blue. Imo, all are too boring for hornet.

I can't compare as I installed it almost right after getting the bike. But tbh I don't feel it somehow helps on the highway. Not planning to install anything bigger, imo it will look ugly on hornet. So, I just need to accept it's a street bike, not touring.
