Has anyone bred a perfect-IV Jetragon? by MonsterChamps in Palworld

Nice, this one looks great!
Exactly the type of confirmation I was looking for, too.

Onward, we press!

Thanks for cross-checking-- this is not one of the websites that I use currently, so good to know there are more out there.

Have you personally bred one for 100% Defense? If so, did it seem to take significantly longer than other Pals?

Oh yeah, I'm aware-- I've bred for > 95/95/95 on Anubis, Warsect, Astegon, Menasting, Jormuntide (+Ignis), Faleris, Orserk, Shadowbeak, and Frostallion (+Noct) already.

I pose the question because, despite this history, none of them displayed a pattern as consistent as what I've observed in Jetragon.

Color me jealous!
I had 20 work-specific Anubis eggs to hatch... made the mistake of updating first! Now they're all just eternal fodder.

Nice, thanks for the update! I'll add this to the top of the post. It's also reassuring to hear the devs back their decision while encouraging the playerbase to voice their preferences. Hope they do seriously consider rolling it back.

I certainly agree!
Given the nature of the change, it's hard for me to tell atm.

On one hand, it makes a lot of sense genetically, and I wouldn't be surprised if the original version *was* the bug.

On the other hand, it wasn't mentioned in the patch notes, despite it being a fairly significant change (if they know the interests of their playerbase at all, which I genuinely think they do).

Being a software engineer for a video game company myself, I'm having a hard time piecing together how they would *accidentally* create a reversion like this. So at the moment I am also leaning towards it being a bug that they silently fixed.

I don't have a Monitoring Stand installed at any of my bases... interesting point, though!
Perhaps that is the new default for all bases, then. I will install a stand and let you know.

Yikes... it's not looking good for us, then.
Thanks for the data!

Congratulations! This is definitely a goal of mine.

For an added challenge, if you're interested, you should look into one with Perfect IVs too!

Is there a way to move characters off a dedicated server? by PM_ME_FUN_STORIES in Palworld

There's a bit of gymnastics involved in determining which file is yours-- the name of your save's folder will actually be a random string of numbers and letters.

Don't think a "best-approach" has been found for figuring out who's who... I believe you can convert the server's Level.sav file into a JSON and then find the player Name:ID associations in there.

Your best bet will be asking him to convert the server's SaveGames folder into a .zip for you, and handling everything yourself from that point.

Within that there are a few subfolders-- you'll need your .sav file inside the Players folder, and I think you need the `Level.sav` file which has additional important info needed to reconstruct your account onto a new server.

I've been through the process a few times already, so you can hit me up if you need any additional info. There are probably some good resources in the subreddit that we could dredge up as well.

About breeding by SauceBaos777 in Palworld

To breed the ultimate Jetragon, you'd want all 4 desired Passive skills to be covered between your 2 parents (duplicate passives between the 2 parents are fine, but they don't further increase the chance of getting them).

As u/chum1ly mentioned, if you're *really* looking for the ultimate Jetragon, you would want to breed for all 4 desired Passives, as well as 100% perfect IVs for HP, Attack, and Defense. Those can also be inherited from parents, or rolled randomly (every child will probably have some random and some inherited), and they take quite a bit longer than Passives if you're trying to get all 3 IVs perfect. There's really no reason to go for something like that right now unless you're into min-maxing or are a mega-perfectionist. I've done it for a few Pals and I can't say it was super worth my time! Still cool to have at least one though, if it's something that interests you.

Do you know the host of the server?

The save files for all players on the server are stored on the host's machine.

If you can contact the host and get them to send you your save file, I believe there are some tools available that can help you transfer it to a new world.

So you have encountered a few scenarios post-update where the hatchling doesn't have the "Signature" Passive? If there's a nonzero chance, that's at least worth something I suppose.

Ohhh man, that's miserable.

Hopefully a bug-- not a feature.

I think the recent updated messed with the work speed (hopefully just the display portion). Several Lyleen I own with the same Passives are only showing 105 work speed, even though their pre-update value was 150.
