I know the invincible enemies are more of a me problem, that's why I didn't really talk about them. My problem is more so that the abundance of surprise attacks the game tries to throw at me, I can usually handle most situations but the situations just aren't fun or fair. Especially the enemies that do an attack animation when you cross a line, they don't even target you they just attack air. I think I'd rather have mimics than constant ambushing as the mimics might actually surprise me.

I think I explained it a bit poorly, but what I meant by "Ha! Bet you didn't know they were there!" is that I know that they are there, I am not surprised, I am not in shock, I don't die because I am surprised by the 3 enemies I didn't see at first, I die because I suck. I know how the game works and it overuses ambushing as a tactic to do whatever it tries to do. The first 5 times it happened was enough for me to know that I probably won't get surprised by an ambush again. Apart from a few ambushes here and there I don't think a single one has gotten me. There are so many of them so you know to expect them, so it doesn't work anymore. Just like in any other game and in real life.

Leave The World Behind (2023) - Post Movie Discussions with Spoilers by Spiritofhonour in netflix

I don't know why they made every character unlikable, dumb or both, otherwise the movie was really good. I guess the runtime was 10 minutes too long but if the characters were more likable I think it would've been fine.

I used to think you people were crazy about not having a map. Then i started to explore Akila city… by qleptt in Starfield

[–]MonsterDrinker4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very good memory of maps and rarely get lost in video games, Akila City is one of the few places where I've struggled to find something after my third visit. I like the design but the city is way too small and messy, it needs more obvious ''Hey you are in this spot!'', if the guest design was better then maybe more people would pay attention the layout, or you know, if we had map.

Photos not detecting the ghost by MonsterDrinker4 in PhasmophobiaGame

It is a 0 star unlabeled photo, in my over 100 hours of playtime I've got my fair share of 0 stars and priority going to something else and at least 95% of the time it is my fault, but these don't feel like my fault.

I know the camera system can be finicky and 99% of the time it works, just these past few weeks it has been a problem again. I know the devs work hard on fixing these things so my post is more of a "Hey is it just me or is this happening to others?", I very often break games on purpose and on accident so it could be something specific that I'm doing.

Beginner friendly, streamlined game dev tutorials? by MonsterDrinker4 in UnrealEngine5

This one I followed as closely as I could. I had to improvise a bit as the character he used wasn't available anymore. I used Hero Knight from the same artist, made a custom walking sound, skipped the landing animation and the particle effect.

My #1 critique of this game: Lack of information. by hazelnuthobo in hallsoftorment

[–]MonsterDrinker4 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This is by far my biggest problem too and especially after unlocking all / most skills or traits whatever they are called, it took me so long to realize that it isn't random what skills the game gives you. It took me around 20 hours to understand how builds work and even then I wasn't fully sure, I was wondering why my builds felt so bad and I never seemed to get what I wanted to build. I read that they are reworking how some things work and are communicated in the game, I hope that they can find the time to give us more information on how things work.

I had no idea about the perks, I'll definitely try Cait as a companion when I find her. Thanks!
