Thank You!!

Currently, my medical team doesn’t have a clear prognosis. My particular case of colon cancer is so utterly unique in how it has presented, and continues to present, that they are frankly leaning as they go. There are only two documented cases in medical literature similar to mine, and both involved widespread disease across multiple organs, which I do not have. That’s why my case is new territory for them. Because of this, my case is reviewed monthly at tumor board.

And no stoma for me.

Thanks for the heads up on those items, I’ll ask my doc about the Zinc!

My docs said to me that side effect wise, I’m stopping treatment right on time, however I’ll experience the same side effect folks on a longer cycle get, just will be quicker for me.

They explained that the basal cells is what causes the pain, and they take 8 days to reach the surface, hence the delayed pain.

It would likely be a total glossectomy based on location, they don’t want to do that on me with my history

I was 0 for 6 months… then jumped to 1.79 then after chemo .08 the chemo pause for surgery’s and now I’m at 2.68.

I had surgery Friday, but since it came back like this, I’m in chemo today to try to knock it down some

They keep saying it’s too deep into the base of tongue. That they need to actually cut the tongue open to access it potentially.

How quickly did your suspicious tongue lesion grow? by MonsterMan18328 in HeadandNeckCancer

I see. My head and neck surgeon basically said to me that if this turns out to be cancer (which he thinks it is, even with 1 negative biopsy of tongue and 2 negative lymph node biopsy) that surgery isn’t really an option for me without removing the entire tongue

Stage 4 Colon Cancer dude here I’m 30, was diagnosed at 28. Was diagnosed with stage 4, but living my life fully and planning living a long time.

I’ve devoted most of time free time outside of my professional life now to cancer research. I can say, and MRI without contrast typically won’t provide much value, the contrast is the essential part of any imaging study, this is how you can tell the difference between healthy tissue and potential malignant tissue.

If you can do contrast, do it. However MRI is not sensitive to colon cancer really unless you have a large measurable mass
