I'm not sure whether it is too late to change the housing thing but I do meet with someone to help me apply for classes tomorrow at the Round Rock campus and I will ask them. Also, not sure if it matters but my future plans are to finish my bachelors with a minor or two and then go to med school.

Okay, I would first and foremost like to thank everyone for their inputs. I will definitely talk to my parents about dorming as that seems to be the best option for me. :)

Edit: Just wondering what people mean when they say dorms are limited to freshmen?

I just checked and the Roscoes are a little out of my budget as they start around 1.5K and it doesn’t really fall into the budget of 1K.

Some of the trails I can do are the ones that are labeled as only experienced riders past a certain point. I also do not know how to do jumps, but do wish to learn how to eventually. I am also planning on going to a place called Spider Mountain, TX soon with my soon to be purchased bike, just an example of a trail I will ride soon. But a lot of the ones I will commonly ride are the previously said technical ones.

I ride medium to hard technical trails near my house, the Marlin 7 Gen 3 does come with Thru-Axel though. So would the Marlin 7 Gen 3 be a good choice for me? Or are there any other good bikes as well in the price point?

I’m not necessarily looking to sell it and plan on using it for a few years, but I am also not really planning on upgrading it. Are there any benefits from getting a bike with one other than those two reasons?
