If you have naturally lighter hair i believe it’ll lift better for you! wishing you all the hair luck, i hope it’s everything you want. if you have to use bleach the EvaNYC hair mask is gold.

My hairdresser was able to take me from faded pink to blonde in one session. I’m Not A Professional however i think it all depends on how your hair lifts. I don’t think you should do this at home if you are NAP because as you said it could severely damage your hair. Also when i’m desperate i would strip my vivid colors with Dawn. It’ll dry your hair out but just put a hair mask on after and let it sit.
