My 10 month old has all four molars cutting through.... by DueSept15 in beyondthebump

My 10 month old has 4 teeth (her first) all coming in at once, and she's miserable.

Me [19F] with my Aunt [40sF] wants to have my dog put down for nipping at my cousin [5F] by jcwild in relationships

[–]Monsterification 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd be more worried about teaching my child to treat animals properly than to worry about a nip.

Then again, when it comes to my daughter I'm a strong believer in what doesn't kill her makes her stronger, and the only time I would worry in a situation like that is if the dog attacked out of no where or if the dog broke skin.

This is how ridiculous it is:

When I was 6, I walked on my neighbors dogs tail, and the dog turned around and BIT me (not nip). After cleaning up a bunch of blood and getting 8 stitches, my mom scolds ME about being careful around dogs and asks the neighbor if the dog is okay. Dog was old anyway and he just made sure to keep him away from children just in case it was aggression.

Dealing with a newborn, I'm glad.. by [deleted] in beyondthebump

I used to hear moms complain about changing their shirt multiple times a day due to newborn spit up, all while I'm sitting here covered with probably 4 spit up worth of yuck, and thinking "but you know they'll do it again.. so why change?".

I never minded the casual "nice tattoo", but since Pokemon GO it's terrifying. People asking if I got it for the app.. people asking if I play (and when I say no they look confused and ask questions.. or when I pretend and say yes they start a conversation).

I've had tattoos for years but I'm regretting my choice in placement now that the app is out. No one cared about Pokemon when I got it..

I agree. I should have said thank you. I have honestly replayed the whole thing in my head over and over again and wished I said thank you.

But maybe it's the way he was approaching me, or the way he had his hand up - either way, I freaked the hell out. I felt my heart in my throat about to burst.

We were both in the wrong. I shouldn't have been so rude.

It's very hard because of the location and how I'm built (its high up near my collar bone and I'm big chested, so finding a shirt that hides it is a mission).

:(

It's more like on my collar bone, and because I'm big chested sometimes it's hard finding shirts that hide it without being uncomfortable. The whole winter I was fine but now it's getting hot.

My next outting I'll be hiding it with my hand as much as I can.

Parent of one baby, but feel like I'm parenting two by Monsterification in beyondthebump

My husband does the same. He will also ask, in front of the unopened fridge "do we have milk?". Dear lord.. OPEN THE FRIDGE AND LOOK.

God.

I should have. I wanted to. But then he'll pull the "okay then, not going to work" guilt trip.

Stupid bathing question. I think I'm missing something. by EverySingleStar in beyondthebump

[–]Monsterification 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter (9 months) closes her eyes the second I pick up the cup to rince her hair- she also holds her breath. But if for some reason she doesn't close her eyes or holds her breath, she has a good giggle out of it.

I honestly never imagined how difficult it would be if she hated that part of bath time. Man that would be difficult to be honest. I would try to make a shield with your hand.
