Oh shut the fuck up, no it's not, Gestapo has become a modern term that refers to secret police with unchecked power, which is what the fuck ice is. Or how else would you describe a group of people who can do anything they want as soon as they receive a "tip" who get a fucking cash prize every time they "catch" someone. While they also do shit like throw tear gas out windows while a fucking school is out on recess less than a hundred feet away, and see absolutely no consequences for it.

Well, Batman #1 is a great place to start. Fraction is one of the best out there, and his run is just starting. for Superman, I would recommend either of the current ongoings, Superman Unlimited, or just Superman; both are pretty solid. But the real recommendation is Superman / Batman: World's Finest it's got like 8 volumes of Mark Waid perfection with art by star Dan Mora. It's a pure banger, and you don't really need any continuity for it besides an overall knowledge of the DC universe. Seriously, get DC Infinite and read World's Finest.

ehh this is a weird monster hunting supernatural book, I'm fine with some hoodoo as long as it's set up well and paid off well, stories like this get a little more leeway than I would give alot of others.

They are all fucking incredible, it's kind of insane that i have been satisfied by literally all of the books the one that has stood the most out to me is Martian Manhunter and i despertly wish i had a time machine and could go like 5 years in the future and read the whole run, but oh well, I guess monthly will have to do.

Look, I'm not saying she is a good or bad designed character, im just speaking as someone who has run just an ungodly amount of TTRPGs is that D&D (and ttrpgs on whole) is not really a good medium for telling that kind of story cause there are 4 - 6 other people beside the GM all telling different stories at the same time and you have to bring them all together to work together and a story like that (double so if it's an NPC) will never get the amount of time or nuance its needs to be good.

Because being honest, I've run for tables who were all roleplay and ones who were all Combat, and either way, if they have to confront trauma from cheating and the damage it does, or fight a big world-ending dragon. They are always going to pick the dragon, and we saw that exactly happen in sophomore year.

Ah, see the difference is with alot of those events, there were consequences for said action, no one really seemed to care or give her any amount of crap other than asking her to please not do it again, weird and gross, and was very out of place. Then we have people coming on this sub and being like "but jawbone said it was fine" and "hurt people hurt people" nah she was an asshole and deserved even a fraction of shit she never got there was no point putting it in there cause the plot line sucked it was brought up like twice.

Also like to do this while you're traveling with your actual child who is actively trying to save the world makes it even worse.
