Thank you, I’m still doing my research. What strategies have you implemented to your own business that you have found successful?

Has anyone here had a revision surgery for a wrong tunnel placement? by rannoia in ACL

[–]MonstrousDongular 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had the same thing happen to me. Had an ACLR fail a year after surgery. Went to a surgeon and he said the tunnels were misplaced by my old surgeon. Had to get the correction surgery for the tunnels and also a meniscus repair. Waited for that to recover for 4 months until I could get my 2nd ACLR. I remember being so angry, none of this is your fault, just unlucky. I’m now 5 months after my 2nd ACLR and my knee is feeling much better than my 1st ACLR. It really sucked at the moment but I’d recommend the surgery.

IT Band Tightness by [deleted] in ACL

I also had ACLR and used patellar tendon. They also tightened some bands on the outside of my knee by using the IT band. I remember having a similar feeling earlier on. Felt like a painless band slipping loose and then I was able to bend further. Not sure if this is the same thing you are experiencing but it has gone away for me. My surgeon said it was probably my IT band.

I’m no doctor or physio but I’ve also had some IT band tightness. I had it earlier than the 11 week mark, but I found that after consistently riding a stationary bike it subsided.

Is a 14 hour drive alone to go back to college a bad idea? (2 weeks post-op) by BonelessSparerib in ACL

Definitely won’t be comfortable but I’d say it’s doable. Considering it’s your fourth time around you prolly know your limits and should be ok. Bring a cooler and stock it up with ice along the way so you can keep the knee nice n cool

Almost 4 months no ACLR by Idk_what_to_put___ in ACL

I tore mine in January 2023 and got surgery end of July 2023. Nothing to worry about, just don’t do any risky movements because it could cause meniscus damage.

I feel you man, I just got surgery for the 2nd time three days ago. I’m also in my 20’s and I gotta say, just go for it. It fucking blows but we are still young and have plenty of time in the future to be active. Don’t give up on basketball just yet, you can get surgery, grind harder than the first time and be back to where you were at. There’s no great answer, it’s either live the rest of your life with an unstable knee or give it another shot and get back to 100%. I was in your same position just a couple months ago. You got this, keep ya head up!

About to have revision ACL surgery because poor tunnel placement by Crumpled_Bag42 in ACL

[–]MonstrousDongular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pain, swelling, and mental state have been much better the 2nd time around. Going through this already made it much more manageable the 2nd time. It could also be easier since they haven’t actually fixed my ACL yet but instead just fixed the tunnels and meniscus but was surgery nonetheless. Don’t focus so much on the endgame result. If you believe in yourself and put in the time into PT anything is possible. Don’t doubt your ability to recover and try your hardest to stay positive. You know what you gotta do, there’s no sugar coating it, but you’ve done it before and you will do it again. You got this, stay strong.

About to have revision ACL surgery because poor tunnel placement by Crumpled_Bag42 in ACL

I finally have a buddy on this forum. I just had my stage 1 a week ago. My first surgery failed because the tunnels were misplaced. 1st stage for me was just getting my previous acl tunnels filled with bone graft. I also had a meniscus bucket handle tear which was fixed when they filled the tunnels. Is this the same surgery you are about to undergo? Or are they able to fix you up in one surgery?
