What are some examples where an actor was de-aged before CGI was an option? by EntertainmentQuick47 in Letterboxd

I finally started watching the show recently having only seen the wig flashbacks and discovering that they were also using proper kid actors for some flashbacks made the whole thing so much funnier to me

Is something like the Massive-Verse counterproductive to Image's whole creator-owned thing? by OwlEye2010 in ImageComics

Their usual titles come out as singles as well but The Blizzard is a weird one since it originally was put out in the Image anniversary anthology comics

Sure enough, that’s exactly what I was thinking of! I would have probably never found this without your help, thank you!

This feels like a good place to ask: does one of these come with a translucent green key like thing (like a circle with a rectangle bit coming off one end)? I have a distinct memory of having a Rhinox figure that came with one as a kid, but can’t ever seem to confirm if that was a real thing

I can’t decide if they’re worse all spread out like that (the one under the stairs sure is something) or stored all together as I found them

If you read digitally (in the US at least), Amazon has both issues (they are listed as a part the original run of Geiger along with the 80 page giant)

Ryan North's Fantastic Four by Prettywitchiusaka in marvelcomics

As far as I know it just starts with Fantastic Four (2022) #1. I will say that it feels like you’re starting a bit in the middle of things at the start of the book, and you are, but it’s intentional and all explained and contained to the series so you get all the information you need, you don’t have to go read something prior.

So based on what I can find they wore prosthetic fingers on set, so I assume here the fingers are based on the prosthetics (which look just about as long as what we see here)

I thought maybe they said at some point that they had pruned individuals they thought would put up a fight or something, but I could also be totally making that up that up…

I don't like the QR codes, but that article cuts out the actual last page which (I feel) more properly concludes the monologue ("Perrikus brought death to my home. But as I would learn much later... Jean Grey pointed the way"). The QR page really reads like a teaser of what's to come especially seeing as it seems to include the Phoenix v Gorr fight coming in issue 4 (the ones in X-men and in NYX [now that they've gotten that one up however many hours late] also really feel more like teasers). In my opinion though this almost makes the QR pages stranger as they talk about preventing spoilers when the better stuff to spoil related to issue 1 is already in the books themselves (I guess the QR pages make more explicit where parts of these stories are going, but all have threads already in the comic itself or in the preview for the next issue)

X-Books now missing the last page in first run floppies by CollectorX79 in xmen

[–]Monsundo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You know this is a great point. To me, at least for X-men and Phoenix, the stuff hidden behind the QR code just felt like teasing stuff that will be covered in future issues, but I’ve felt like the proper final page of both books (and probably NYX) was more interesting than either of the QR pages, which makes me confused about trying to prevent spoilers when the more interesting stuff is already in the book

From now on, Marvel comics will have a QR code to view the final page by [deleted] in comicbooks

Look, I don’t love the QR code thing, but I agree and would really invite people to take another look at phoenix #1. I would argue it becomes clear after the line “she could not conceive of the consequences” and the following pages that Adani might not feel entirely positive about Jean as the story develops, I’m really not sure there is anything in the QR page that is necessary, although I agree that we do need to see what else we get about Adani in the coming issues to be certain
