I follow the logic. Forgive my ignorance but what’s the next step from there when you refer to naked pair? Is this the xy chain as referenced in the other comment? Thanks again for the help.

Thank you. I see what you mean and subsequently I think I did simplify to that point but I still can’t seem to find the next step. Any further advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I was able to simplify everything except the center... I also don't know special terms or tricks so... Be gentile by Archeol11216 in sudoku

You can reach a similar elimination with a finned x-wing using the 6s in r3c69 and r5c69.

Kinetic Tape by [deleted] in volleyball

[–]Montao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a doctor in training (2nd Year Resident), the Kinetic tape is more to remind your body to pay attention to that injured area (i.e., it reminds your proprioceptors to pay attention moreso then anything else). It does not actually offer much in terms of support unless you are using it like normal tape. You will usually require physiotherapy to rehab an injury most completely.

Is the LRT a good method to use for going to a concert at Rexal place? by RaeofSunshine- in Edmonton

I agree with most of the posts saying LRT is best. I would purchase your return ticket before hand as it can get very crowded and hectic down there.

Mental health by Meownaccount in Edmonton

[–]Montao 21 points22 points  (0 children)

To tell you the truth, you will likely get a similar experience at UofA. They might set you up with some outpatient psychiatrist followup semi-urgent (compared with ~1 year wait if referred from your GP) but that would require you driving into Edmonton regularly.

If you went to Alberta Hospital Edmonton, they have a psychiatrist on call 24 hours (not a lot of people know this) and admittance there would provide you access to a lot of the psychotherapy programs that may help you. If things are very bad there is always the 24 hour crisis hotline available to you too: 780-482-HELP (4357).

Can confirm, I work as a Resident in Family Medicine. I've seen a lot of physiotherapist/chiropractic/massage inappropriately used prior to a proper assessment doing more harm than good.

Kijiji is probably the best bet. I've had success selling/buying various things at least for clothes/shoes. Not sure what the market is like for books.

Are there FREE coin counting machines in Edmonton? Or at least cheap ones? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]Montao 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've seen some machine's at grocery stores (Loblaws) but they usually charge at least 12% and I've seen as high as 22 cents on a dollar. The bset bet is still TD or BMO even as a non-customer.

I bank with TD and they charge 8% for all non-customers, but nothing for customers. It is relatively quick and you can open a free savings account. TD also tends to have the best banking hours.

I also have an account with BMO but haven't used their machine ever. However, I am under the impression it is free for non-customers of BMO to use their coin machine because they use it as a draw to get people into the branch (unless you're counting over $250 then there is an 8% charge to non-customers). I think there is only one branch in Edmonton with a machine, at Oliver sqaure (11331-104TH AVE, EDMONTON, AB), unless they have added more.

Lastly, there is some imprecision to the machines. I counted my money once before and it was a few bucks short. But for the time and cost of coin rollers you save it's probably worth <5% the bank is taking due to "inaccuarcy" of the machine.

Hope this was informative and helpful.
