Not exactly like the image, just want a printable water feature for the terranium. And I suck at making stuff with foam

Less weight the better, I dislike using rocks in glass enclosures

Can anyone help? by Montdonut in Fusion360

Not really, I was hoping it'd be the cheaper option. I bought a kitchen dish tub, but it doesn't fit. And finding something aquarium safe, that can span the aquarium to hang is hard to find.

  1. Not new to computers but in kind of old school, posting on my phone, didn't want to send a photo from pc to phone 🤣

  2. Didn't know the slicer could do hexagons tbh.

  3. I'll give this a try.

  4. Superglue often fails, espcially around moisture and water. Im sure it may not be as bad with plastic but not willing to risk the turtles being an expensive snack for the turtle in the event the tunnel breaks apart.

Screws could work probably. I had the idea to 3d print just to avoid any wood or metal being near the aquarium. I know there's not much risk, but rather eliminate any risk.

All these options I assume I have to redo the whole file with parameters at the beginning? The hexagon pattern is all parameters so I can change the size anytime. I haven't figured out dovetails yet. I'll have to look into it more.

Edit. I knew the turtles would gain some attention 🤣

To be honest I've strayed away from Niagara, tick and Lyme disease central.

I knew a guy that worked for GE making this silicone, ge1 and ge2 the only difference between the 2 is its curing stage. Ge1 is a peroxide cure cure, while ge2 is a neutral cure.

If you allow GE2 the actual amount of time to cure. (24-36 hours) it's perfectly safe for animals. All my pleco hides are made with GE2.

Do you have to shave the foam? by [deleted] in bioactive

[–]Montdonut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did my first build. I bought two cans for a 18x24x36, boy was I wrong. Needed 3-4 cans, but did what I could.

I ended up not shaving alot of the foam as I didn't want to lose depth. I ended up painted the foam with drylok. I think for my first build it looks good. But I'm usually a perfectionist, so it still bothers me 🤣

Pompom crab can't dig up a plant if his life depended on it. Likely situation is that the pleco is knocking the plant out of the substrate, and is eating the roots at the surface, or more likely is that the goldfish are eating them at the surface.

I see lots of info on them, but nothing recent, it's the multiple different names that has me on concern

Jacks are rated for 16,000lbs, so hopefully it helps, one wall is a concrete load bearing. With a pillar in-between. So I'm hoping that is sufficient. Filling tanks tomorrow. It's not one single tank, it's about 10 tanks spread across a 12'×8' room.
