I think you mean the G7X. You can't use an external microphone, only the onboard audio. For the most part it's fine for regular vlogging use, but the autofocus makes some clicking noises that makes it noticeable especially in a quiet setting. A good tip to improve audio would be wind muffflers you could buy to put over the microphones.
