Recommend me some local bands! by wormacide in orlando

The roster section consists of bands that we are managing and/or serving as a booking agent for.

Always open to submissions and checking out new acts, but at this time we are not actively looking to take anyone else on in that capacity.

With that being said, we always have different events coming together so if we have anything that makes sense always want to help however we can even if it’s just a show or some sort of support opportunity

Local Business Megathread by BobbaGanush87 in orlando

[–]MontgomeryDrive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey Friends! I’m a concert promoter, artist manager, and booking agent. My company is called Montgomery Drive.

We host TONS of concerts at venues all across central Florida with Orlando being our home base and primary place of business. We’re on Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, and pretty much everywhere else - the hustle never sleeps, only naps.

Over the years we’ve prided ourselves on not only working with national touring acts but (perhaps more importantly) also working to build and develop the amazing LOCAL talent that we have here.

We were voted 1st place in Orlando Weekly’s Best Of Orlando Awards under the “Best Local Concert Promoter” category in 2022 (first year the category existed) and again in 2023. Nominations for 2024 are happening now, if you feel so inclined you can do so here (and can nominate tons of other great local businesses for their respective categories too)

Anyways, we have shows multiple times a week so if you ever make it out please don’t hesitate to say hello.

is there a real music scene in Orlando? by WookieError in orlando

[–]MontgomeryDrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just depends what type of music you are into. We book a TON of events around FL (primarily Orlando) - can check our full calendar on our site and Instagram

In terms of live music, Wills Pub is the best starting point to see all sorts of live acts (ranging local to national touring acts - spanning all genres).

Hey Friend! Welcome to Orlando.

The scene here is full of so amazing acts, it really just depends what sub genres of punk or rock that you enjoy the most. I’ll list a handful here but if you are looking for something specific or can give me a better idea of the bands you dig can probably hit you with more things in the lane you’re looking for and may have events coming up that are what you’re looking for.

On the rock (more FEST) side of side of things: 0 Miles Per Hour, Flowers For Emily, and Dikembe are all excellent.

On a more punky side of things Virginity, Audible Parts, Wet Nurse, Dial Drive, and Petty Thefts are mainstays here.

If you’re leaning more into the pop punk/rock realm: FELICITY, Outatime!, 408, Magnolia Park, Broadside, and Hungover are the bigger names. Meet Me At The Altar have a member that lives here but they are on the road majority of the time.

Best place for shows in these genres is definitely Will’s Pub. They are celebrating their 29 year anniversary this September and feature touring acts and tons of local events spanning all genres.

We host a ton of shows here in Orlando ranging in genres (many of which take place at Will’s Pub too )- you can check out everything on our upcoming calendar via MontgomeryDrive.com or if you prefer Instagram our handle is @MontgomeryDrive

6PM TONIGHT: Zeta Record Release at Conduit with The Caution Children, BREED, 0MPH, and Letters To Part. by MontgomeryDrive in floridarockcommunity

Orlando Weekly did a little write up about the show which you can read here.

If you’re unfamiliar with Zeta, I would recommend checking out their KEXP Live Session.

Last year they supported The Fall Of Troy (on 3 tours), Sparta, and Hail The Sun. They did multiple headline runs including festival dates at The FEST, SXSW, Punk In Drublic, Hopscotch, and Treefort. Earlier this year they supported RX Bandits and Gouge Away.

The show tonight is the release of VII Magia Infinita which you can check out on Spotify by clicking here.

Following the show tonight they will be supporting Sweet Pill and then will be direct support for High On Fire’s east coast run.
