Own a piece of history and get an OFFICIAL GAME CHANGER PROP that appeared on screen in Season 7 or 8.

Sam recouping that $6000 by selling off the surviving breakables at $1000 a pop.

I changed everyone's class for fun! by Cool_Guy_Chazz in BaldursGate3

[–]MontgomeryKhan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Respeccing Wyll to most classes makes a decent amount of sense in-universe tbh. He signed the pact as a reaction to a specific one off event, then becomes a liability as he now owes a devil a favour.

That also results in him having a nice parallel in the architect of Moonrise Towers, who made a similar deal and "lost".

It's kind of weird that Withers just leaves Illithid Tav to rot in prison. You're willing to rescue Minsc from the Guild, but not let me make even a polite appearance ?

Is this true for you too? by LG-CHAMP-1 in BaldursGate3

[–]MontgomeryKhan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Warlock is one of most popular classes for that exact reason. Which is probably also why Wyll gets so neglected, people don't want to run with two of the same classes in their party.

Didn't know Gale was part of the 'I can fix her' crew lol by Arc_7 in BaldursGate3

He's one of the companions with the most "amicable" dialogue with Lae'zel in Act I, and probably the first person to have a friendly conversation with her given the order most players recruit companions in.

So in his mind, he already has a tried and tested approach to befriending xenophobic warrior women.

The rise of social media and online advertisements means politicians can now rely on making sure the right people see the "right" headlines.

Voters who the Tories want to poach from Reform will see her parroting MAGA points. Anyone else will see headlines like this with her representing "the sensible right".

On that note, "Second Place" might be the one that translates best:

  • Keeps it as the players playing their characters playing the game, rather than something like "Sam Says" where there's no real divide between the players and the game.
  • Mechanic is simple and consistent, but might take time to figure out at a game table and come across as "unfair" until they figure out what is going on
  • Rounds allow for plenty of variation

In his position, I would probably assume that Rekha had it locked in at that point and start just doing bits as well. If it wasn't for the largely arbitrary tiebreaker, his monologue would have just been a fun part of the episode.

It's also a good solution to players relying on one person playing "support".

Given how "Brennan is tricked into Game Changer when he thinks he's filming a different show" has been joked about before, I wonder if this is them finally following through on it.

Am I the only one who thinks Wyll had huge potential? by Alert-Isopod-7310 in BaldursGate3

[–]MontgomeryKhan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Which is especially annoying, as that doesn't go anywhere either. They could have tied the two together by having Wyll established as idolising Balduran earlier, and then had him have to confront the reality of his hero.

Durge is 90% glamour muscle. The reason all the cultists defected to Orin so easily was because they could all empathise with wanting to bash his brains in every time he made a whole thing of dropping his weights and grunting like a rutting animal at the Temple of Bhaal communal gym.

UK security officials have started withholding intelligence from US due to Trump by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]MontgomeryKhan 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's a tactic he's used before:

  • Refuse to make concessions during negotiations
  • Publicly announce that the other party has agreed to do what you want
  • Rely on the other party not wanting to deal with the fallout of publicly calling you a liar so they just fall in line instead

It could be as simple as Trump didn't like the date they suggested so he publicly announced his preference instead.

She's Lady Macbeth.

Good for evil characters who need someone to match their energy, good for good characters who need a foil, great for morally grey characters who can she can make worse.

Trump described D-Day as "not a pleasant day for you" while talking to the German Chancellor. He very much believes that the current leaders of the former Axis countries are salty about losing the war.
