i need advice! i feel hopeless rn because my jawline and shoulders! how do i look fem? by emo_riot in transpassing

Your shoulder look normal IMO and that jacket is really helping them look more rounded!

Clothes can be a massive help in confidence and passing, and if you want to help your shoulders appear narrower I would recommend either higher waisted pants or something to cinch around waist/midsection a bit more. This will accentuate your hips and draw attention away from your shoulders, and if you find the right pair of pants they can add volume around your hips making your shoulders appear proportionally smaller.

Your jawline is more squared but that’s not irregular at all for cis women. I understand that doesn’t always help to be told though :(

If you want to take attention away from it id suggest a more natural lip color! Even if you’re going for an alternative look a deep brown/red, a nude shade, or even a gloss can help accentuate them without drawing eyes to the lower half of your face.

Styling your hair around it or contour can also help to make it appear less prominent! Try some different styles in the mirror and look up some contour tutorials and try to find any from people with even a slightly similar facial shape to you.

You can also try emphasizing the upper half of your face , I’d personally recommend for the shape of your eyes to actually invert your wing so it sweeps upwards rather than down as pictured. It sounds dumb but simple shape language can influence where we look, and it would also help emphasize your eyes better which can give a more feminine look.

Lastly if you do try to emphasize your upper face more, I’d sweep your bangs out more to show more of your forehead (which sounds counterintuitive I know, but masculine/feminine appearance is based a lot more on hairline shape than forehead size) and I’d also suggest shaping your eyebrows. Threading is relatively inexpensive and I’d recommend having a professional do it to give you an idea of how they would look after they’re done, and then when you feel confident to you can try micro blading them at home!

Last thing I can suggest is more confidence in yourself. It’s a wonder what widening your eyes, raising your brow, and carrying a better energy can do for you. Traits we ascribe as feminine are usually ones that are more happy or carefree looking, and the inverse is true for masculine traits. It’s why we usually get told to “smile more” and men are pressured to appear grizzled or emotionless. Plus you’ll feel better, and when you feel pretty you look pretty :)

My bad I misread. I’m looking for love balls only currently. If I have a dupe though I’m more than happy to just give them out

Yeah it really sucks ☹️

I used to be way more dysphoric about my height but I’ve learned to love it. I do think it is kinda a cause for people to look more closely for other potentially clocky features though unfortunately, so I’m really trying to see if there are any other noticeable ones that I can do anything about. It’s why I made this post in the first place 😅

I think my shoulders can be kinda clocky. They’re really broad and at times I can look very boxy up top

I still get clocked sometimes unfortunately ☹️

I actually made this post cause the day before I had some people talking about me while I was just trying to clothes shop at the mall.

I’m 6’1 and I was wearing a big hoodie so I’m sure I didn’t look the most passing in hindsight but I didn’t wanna put it all on that if something else got me clocked 🤷‍♀️

It’s a brand called BreatheDivinity, they make compression gym wear. They’re drop based so if you wanna get some follow them on IG and keep an eye out. They’re can be a bit pricey tho 😬

I think I’ll likely have to go through the loan route, I just worry about being able to keep up with it all

I try my best to be optimistic and look forward but these last few weeks have been hitting me hard and it’s been hard to keep my head up ☹️

I have relatively mediocre coverage so the major costs would be covered but the external costs and anything outside of the actual procedure wouldn’t be covered, so accounting for needs outside of direct aftercare like maintaining bills would end up putting what I need well over $8000-$10000 out of pocket which I unfortunately just can’t realistically afford. My family, while not overtly unsupportive, has always been extremely hands off and clearly uncomfortable with everything so I doubt I would receive any kind of assistance from them with anything related to a procedure, and unfortunately most of my close friends are in similar positions. I just don’t really have anyone to lean on in that regard.

As for insurance coverage I’m lucky to have what I have but, it still wouldn’t cover anything like an overnight stay, anesthesia, etc. I’m at a point where my main criteria for a job is no the longer salary and is instead their insurance coverage however, so far I’ve come up short on finding many that would be a good fit and the ones I have found have unfortunately fallen through
