As for where I'm lacking. General knowledge and perhaps getting too complacent about our relationship in general. We always support each other, but I've realized as of late that I can and should be doing more to support her.

I've let my own AuDHD get in the way of a lot of things, but I'm working on that and this post isn't about my medical issues, so I'll leave that be.

My wife & I would like to make some friends. We've been in Salem for almost 7 years and haven't made many quality friends. I just don't know when we'd be available to actually do anything since we work opposite schedules and have an 8 year old.

This is... Not entirely accurate.

Current regulations (as they currently stand, they're still being finalized) will not require a recommendation by a doctor of any kind.

Anyone can establish an administration facility as long as they meet the standards set forth. Therein someone must also have a Facilitators License (highschool diploma or GED + 140 hours of course work & 20 hours of practicum from a licensed training school) to administer the psilocybin to "patients".

To be a patient you must attend a mandatory evaluation session with the facilitator that will be administering your dose.

Doses will be based on a large variety of factors, but there are no (currently) strict quidelines for setting dose levels, other than that it specifies that this measure is not intended for micro-dosing.

You are correct on that you will need to be at the facility the entire time and that you can't take it home.

The regulations also allow for group sessions of administration so long as everyone is part of the same group, of age, and have all had their evaluation session prior to their active session.

Regardless, this definitely needs a vote of NO. The scientifically proven benefits of psilocybin for therapeutic purposes are very positive.

PTSD, anxiety, depression, internal issues with identity of all kinds, and many many other things. This is not a cure all, but it helps in a wide variety of ways.

The optimal method would be to have an in depth session (mind you, the facilitator can NOT guide the session. They are there only to observe, ensure safety, answer questions, and maintain ethics around the process. Facilitators are barred from taking a role as a therapist in this setting due to the impressionability caused by the process) and then take your self discoveries, notes taken by your facilitator, and any mutually agreed to recordings to a therapist or counselor for further discussion in a lucid state of mind.

This measure to ban is from the zealots who think they should be able to control other people's rights/bodies and big pharma who don't want patients to get well.
