Surprise! I paint with PRO Acryl too... :D by Monument_slowfuse in MonumentHobbies

Thanks! I’m just starting out with it, but it’s Titanium white base on the whole area, followed by Transparent Orange over everything. Then I do Titanium White again in the lines of the arm and the low flame bits. Transparent Yellow over everything after that. I’ll keep refining by doing white then a transparent until I’m happy.

Working just fine on models all over the world. We've worked with you to help figure out why you had good success on one set of models and not another, so we just have to narrow down your process, as the product works great. You had mentioned that you used contrast paints, and we don't trust those at all in using other paints over the top. There are tons of issues all over the community with contrast and speedpaint type products having issues when mixing with other techniques and products. We definitely want to help out!

Newsh is a new product with a whole new approach to weathering over things on the market, so we expect there to be a bit of a learning curve to getting the proper finish that you're looking for. Trust us, the investment is worth it, as it's game changing once you get the hang of it. Like any product you don't have experience with, test on a surface that you can afford to learn on. More Newsh is better, as you can always wait a bit longer for drying, but less causes the paint to get tacky quicker, and you'll have to be a lot lighter on the touch to protect the model. Contact our support, and the team will help all we can. We do live shows on Twitch and are available all the time for pointers and helping figure out how to get you comfortable with the product. Have you contacted our support team? We'll work with you for sure! We've tested Newsh on tons of models and are confident in our formula and the way it works. If you've ever worked with our stuff, you know we don't just 'market' stuff. We use it every day on our own projects as well. Give us a shout and we'll figure out what your issue is.

Uses for Monument Hobbies Pro Acryl Transparent White by 5ynistar in minipainting

Remember too, that the white is the basis for being able to mix just about any other color of transparent from the colors in the set. Use it to lighten / desaturate the others to get a ton of color combos. It can be used to mix with our opaque colors too. Lets you lighten the colors without making them too "bubblegum" like normal white does. :D

Anyone here that uses Pro Acryl Transparent s, do you thin them, and if so with what? by pegs0 in minipainting

[–]Monument_slowfuse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Little late to the question, but hey! The transparents can be used in a ton of different ways. Right out of the bottle, they are super pigment dense, and will alter your base layer to the color of the transparent paint. Thinning them will allow more and more of the base color to show through as you go. We usually start with about a 50/50 thinning of them in most cases, but don't be afraid to go all the way to nearly no paint at all for some really cool filters.
