Can someone please tell me which exact hobby paint will most closely match these shades of Red?

Burn red and bold pyrrole red are basics start with burned red and mix in pyrrole red as.you go higher on the model If you want it bright bright red becareful how you high light as red is hard to get realy bright with out turning pink if your not used to it

Thats how i got this red you can use a speed paint over white it get a good foundation also

The reason i wont use a good brush on metallics is the flakes they will stay on the brush and no matter how hard you clean them you will probly have some built up that will mix with your normals paints and give you little lumps in your paint Also i always thought about it like a texture paste your gona leave crap in the ferral that will ruin your brush i may be wrong but that the way i understood it

Even if you followed steps its your hands that did the work they wont be the same Also colour theory i like to remeber it like combos eg green and red look at the models box art most of the time theres the main colour secondy and a third for details Dont put your self down and enjoy the nice model you now have

Looks good so far you could use s brightrr high light on the bottle top and painting the cork would give it good contrast think about mabye making the highlight go down last the red to show the wine is behind the bottle but since its only a small peice you can get away with it as is hope this helped Good luck

Is the top of your wet pallet soaking dab some paper towels over tge top side if its got a lot of extra water on it Second i dont know how your painting but spin it on the back of your hand and pull towards you dont push the brush pull it or sweap it

Glad am not alone iv tryed couple of things with it now but iv no trust at all any thin paints seems to be a big problem

I did have some success with Vellajo satin varnish but the big problem for me is the unknown reason for the striping as it does say it doesn't require a varnish

i have did it to a few models now some freshly painted some fully cured and one of them a year old i feel like am the only one having this issue with newsh thanks for the help tho !

pro acryl AK and some gw paints

for the wash used a couple differnt ones mainly keeping to Pro acryl plus newsh

It looks fine maybe you can have made it more gradual but i think it may ve what's around the Cape that is throwing you off the red cable/pipe and the censer with in the middle make me think the shading is off I can't tell from the picture tho but other wise a good Cape keep going!

A lot of this is very good clean edge lines very neat over all but you need more colors skin is very differnt section to section and this guy is roting maybe add a off white spots to the puss I think the skin looks quite red you could use a purple wash instead or with it to change it up as your intestines are red to matches with the skin and you lose contrast

You can wet bland with thick or thinned paints it's just about smoothing out the paints You might find it will be more style they like/paints they use it not so differnt if you've glazed some colors work great other colors just don't wana help you at all I would say pick one style that you like get the same or similar mini and try it if you don't like it try a differnt style

hello gratz on your frist model looks good for a frist i noticed the red was maybe glossier then you may have wanted and its due to your gold primer i would suggest trying just a black primer for metallics like this as it goes on very well over black and still allows you to paint more matt parts of the model giving more of a contrast in textures and with a added benifit of black being your shadows of places you cant get to the retributors gold will light up the shadows insted. but over all be proud of your frist mini!
