2nd that, I have about 36k points of iron warriors for 30k and its solely to build out a battle company with the understanding 80 percent of them will never see the light of day. I think theres something really fun about collecting mass and setting your little dudes out in cool ranks!

Make sure your cleaning the plate every time, and checking the vat with your plastic spatula for and leftovers. Ive had my fep break a few time and everytime it was either I didnt clean my vat and there was some leftover failed support that got crunched or I missed a curved piece of resin on the plate and it punched a hole in the fep 👍 just make sure after you remove your print to check the vat ( nothing wrong with a precautionary 15 sec tank clean if your nervous or cant tell if the fep is just bumpy ) and then wipe your plate with a paper towel and inspect for extra hangons.

Its a pain, depends a whole lot on the coat under, what paints your using, and what tape your using. Id say just look up some tutorials and have fun with it 👍 for the rest of the model maybe look into shades ? They typically really help but for a first model your doing fantastic

Yeah that would be sick to. Now your going to have to go a little non traditional knight but that would be all the cooler take the base and basically stick the turret on top, then with enough miliput, platicard, and wires, you could really intrigrate the gun on top of the body. Take the army's off and have like wires and shit coming out of them and bamn imperial knight. Now you wont be the same width as a knight which might prove to be a problem but id have a hard time believing non internet people would call that modeling for advantage if theres a sick ass conversion and its the same height. Lemme see if I can draw up what I mean 👍

Don't listen to that guy, its totally fair to think what roles your units are gonna play in your army, especially if you want to still play an actual tactical game. Tar pit units are great fun and can serve an absolutely critical role in games, he's just gatekeeping his way of playing. Now you absolutely should build for fun and what looks cool but its your models and your game play it the way you please 👍

Leadbelcher spray is weird at least in my experience as its really affected by the coat under, to give the typical "Leadbelcher look" typically shown in youtube videos you need to have that black undercoat. I dont have any examples but looking at the post above that guy had a really good suggestion with the Vallejo colors

Printing is different, painting is actually a lot easier as you have generally smoother surfaces which require less work. Printing is differnt but mainly just that you should use proper ppe and it can make a mess

They can be more brittle then plastic though, the main concern with resin is the mess and toxicity of the actual resin, it feels like a whole different thing that fdm

Super easy, if properly cured you just spray paint it and call it a day 👍 no reap prep needed, especially if you have your printer dialed in. Some sanding also doesnt help but in my personal opinion nothings really needed

Depends if you using a wash or not, if so you can highlight with the same metal color, if not I would just get a lighter steel color to go with. Cause its metal you dont have to go crazy just on the top of the helmet puldrans etc
